Sex & Nudity

  • There are infrequent mild sex references.
  • Alita is seen in a more shapely figure. One character says, "I guess she's older than you thought."
  • In one fairly short scene a female character is shown in fish net thigh highs laying in bed
  • Man and a robot lady kiss.
  • Guy wakes up in bed. No nudity.
  • There is no nudity and there is no sex.

Violence & Gore

  • The violence is mostly against cyborgs with human faces, so the psychological effect of seeing it depends on how much the viewer empathises with them.
  • A robot guy is cut in half with a massive sword.
  • A man's face was burned by a blowtorch. This was offscreen.
  • We see robotic organs in separate cases. This is not gore.
  • A robot was punched and her face was seen broken. Later, her body slides off a wall with her head sticking on the same place.
  • Two people were stabbed with a sword.
  • Robots in this movie have green and cyan coloured blood.
  • A huge robot with a human face was cut into half with a sword. You can see his face tearing into two.
  • A decapitated human head is shown but it is very brief and mostly hidden.
  • A robot gets chopped in half, Mortal Kombat style.
  • A man dresses up like Jack the Ripper and kills a woman with a sickle in the middle of the night. It's not really shown onscreen.
  • Lots of explosive actions, although violent and rough, but rated PG-13 in America.
  • One character punches another character in the eye up to the elbow. Very disturbing and intense. Later we see the arm part hanging out of his eye socket and he says he wants to keep it that way
  • A cyborg's arm is cut off with a circular saw and he is seen screaming in pain.
  • A character was sliced into pieces mid-air. Shocking and unexpected.
  • A dog is killed offscreen.
  • One of the more graphic parts of the film involves a large cyborg being thrown into a grinder, we hear him scream and attempt to escape before his head is crushed by the machine.
  • A robot goes through a fridge. The doctor finds him and tries to stop him. He gets knocked over and the robot charges towards a girl in a wheelchair. We see the wheelchair knocked over and the girl is not seen. She is presumed dead.
  • A teenage boy gets chopped in half with a sword . You can see blood on the ground
  • A man gets stabbed by a robot
  • There's a fridge full of body parts

Profanity

  • One F-word spoken by the heroine, as well as moderate terms such as 'prick', and 'bitch', and milder language such as 'crap', 'piss' and 'shit'.
  • God's name is used in vain twice.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There are brief drug references.
  • There are a few moments where characters are drinking alcohol, though it's mostly prominent in a single bar scene.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Some violent discussions take place in regards to how they are going kill each other.
  • A cyborgs face is cut off, and we see him still talking with just half a tongue and back molars. Fairly disturbing to look at.
  • We see robot parts being harvested, may be disturbing.
  • All of the violence is between cyborgs so there is not any blood or gore.
  • (Deleted. Personal opinions about ratings are not appropriate for the Parents Guide.)
