Bad acting, bad script, awful music. An unoriginal story seemingly written by ill educated fools. It has no credence as it mixes American law with a British scenario. I just don't understand why such crap is made. I watched on Amazon Prime who seem determined to serve up films that are so bad they will just make people cancel their subscriptions. The quality of the film is worse than many could get on their smartphone. None of it makes any sense. Lengthy explanations are given by actors but they make no sense. Even fantasy films have to make sense but this is a crime thriller (?) and it just doesn't hold water. Avoid.

Solid UK Thriller
G-Man200712 January 2007
Otherfilm I watched at Bloodbath 2006 (what a great festival) The Silencer features faces from one or two of the other Brit action films on display on the same weekend such as Chris Jones, Glenn Salvage and Steve Lawson.
Very different from Left For Dead or Intergatic Strike Team, it's much slower (often a little too slow) and much more of a thriller with action than an action thriller.
After a confusing fight (who is fighting who) the film settles down into a revenge film not unlike at time that 80's gem the Exterminator.
It's a solid if unspectacular British movie but one that makes the most of it's again meagre budget range. One to enjoy if you want a mix of very British acting and very British sweeny old school action.

I ENJOYED THIS

Initially I was going to switch it off but I thought lets give it a go. The acting is hard to explain certain scenes were just a bit cringe worthy but the lead was solid and made you want to know how its ends. It is a very British film with a tiny budget, and they put a movie together better than some big budget efforts. There will be people who won't like this movie and the premise is thin as rice paper and slightly ridiculous but it did entertain me and that is what it is supposed to do.
