When asked what he did between acting jobs, Robert Duvall once said, "Hobbies, hobbies and more hobbies." This is fair enough because, to quote James Bond, "everybody needs a hobby." Bond himself has all kinds of things to do in his spare time: playing Baccarat and Poker, talking to exotic ladies and drinking Martinis. For all we know, Bond might also be into origami and bell ringing.
The question is, what do other action heroes get up to when they're not shooting bad guys, blowing up trucks or rescuing their daughters from Val Verde? In most movies, we never find out. But in very,...

I like Dolph Lundgren. A lot. Although most of his cinematic endeavors head straight to home video these days, the guy’s work is just as strong as it ever was. In fact, his 2005 action flick “The Mechanik” (I refuse to call it “The Russian Specialist”) is probably the best thing he’s ever made. But that’s just my opinion. Feel free to disagree all you want. The big guy’s latest flick “Ambushed” (aka “Hard Rush”) finds him teaming up with fellow Dtv star Vinnie Jones. And while it doesn’t look like the strongest effort in their respective filmographies, the flick could be worth a rental. I’ll definitely check it out. As always, here’s a synopsis: Agent Maxwell (Dolph Lundgren) is about to close in on an international cocaine smuggling operation run by criminal mastermind Vincent Camastra (Vinnie Jones). When Agent Beverly Royce (Carly Pope...

From Splash Page: No matter how many times Marvel's Punisher films start over from scratch, Dolph Lundgren will always be the first-live action Frank Castle.
The iconic action star wrote, directed and headlined in his latest direct-to-dvd film "Command Performance" and returns to the big screen in 2010 for Sylvester Stallone's "The Expendables." As far as upcoming comic book films go, however, "Conan" is the only one that has his attention right now, and he said he hasn't been keeping up with the skull-shirted vigilante he first portrayed in 1989.
"No, I haven't seen any of [the new 'Punisher' movies]," Lundgren told MTV News. The Swedish-born actor has kept a tight schedule since he began directing his own movies like "The Mechanik" and "Diamond Dogs," so it's understandable that he might not be able to find the time.

So I'm searching the web for little known Dolph Lundgren movies, you know as you do, and I come across this film trailer for Direct Contact a little known 90s movie he was in that... wait what? It's not even out yet? It hits DVD on June 2, 2009? Whoa.
I think that when you watch the new trailer after the break you'll see why I thought it was an ancient classic. Everything from the washed out look, the evil Ruskies, even the way the Nu-Image logo crashes to the forefront of the screen to the sound of grung rock smacks of awesome old skool 90s cheese. Probably why I still like the old guy. He's still "keepin' it real" as the kids say.
Synopsis:
An American prisoner in a Russian jail is given a chance at freedom if he can rescue a kidnapped American woman from a deadly military force.
So...
