Pekopon is pun for Pokopen which is an old Japanese slang for the words "trivial" & "stupid" and was commonly used during the Sino-Japanese War. Due to Pokopen being discreminated towards the Chinese, the word "pokopen" has been banned from all TV shows of Japan.
