This is a fun, amusing comedy short set in Glasgow, directed by 'Orphans' star Stephen McCole and written by 'High Times' creator John Rooney and Paul McCole(who also stars in the film). The plot revolves around a married couple, Pam & Rod, played by Jenny Ryan and McCole who are unhappy due to a bad sex life(McCole is suffering from dispersion after losing his job and as a result, is suffering from impotency) Pam is suffering from sexual frustration and is even considering having an affair with her sleazy boss, played brilliantly by Gary Sweeney. One night however, Rod is accidentally struck by lightning and for some reason has not only get his sex drive back(with an added bonus) but can also transmit electricity. Cue a number of humorous set pieces such as Rod flicking through TV channels just by pointing his finger at the box etc. This is a really enjoyable wee film with some great performances, particularly by Gary Sweeney as the sleazy and quite bizarre office boss, a part i never imagined him playing, after seeing as the psycho gang leader in 'small Faces'. The only bad thing is, just like most Scottish short films, it probably went unnoticed by most people.
