The move to add free streaming channels is the latest bid by Disney to increase engagement on its streaming platform.
Fresh off a proxy fight win against activist investor Nelson Peltz, Disney CEO Bob Iger is feeling confident and emboldened to fully enact his strategy to get the company’s streaming segment to profitability as soon as humanly possible. A new report from The Information suggests that the company will soon be bringing free ad-supported TV (Fast) channels on its flagship streaming service Disney+ in an effort to increase revenue and engagement. The plan reportedly will include around-the-clock linear channels that broadcast titles from Star Wars, Marvel, and other popular franchises owned by the company.
Disney+ will reportedly keep these channels behind a paywall, making them available only to subscribers. There are few details available as yet, such as the number of channels available or a launch date. Disney launched...

Princess Charlotte might be Prince William and Kate Middleton’s middle child, but the 8-year-old is more like the boss. At least of her brothers. According to a parenting expert, Charlotte keeps Prince George, 10, and Prince Louis, 5, “in check.” This may come as no surprise to royal watchers who might occasionally spot Charlotte telling others what to do.
Charlotte is well aware of the ‘rules’ and reminds George and Louis of them
When George needs a refresher on royal “rules,” Charlotte can help. The Prince and Princess of Wales’s daughter, who turns 9 in May 2024, “knows the rules,” Jo Frost, the parenting expert of Supernanny fame, told Hello! magazine.
“She’s the one in the middle,” Frost said of Charlotte. “She knows how to keep everyone in good stead.”

Holly Wofford and Jane Y. Mun are stepping into the ring as exec producers and showrunners for Tko: Total Knock Out, the obstacle-course competition series with a twist that’s coming to CBS in the summer.
Hailing from Mark Burnett and MGM Television, the 10-episode series is hosted by Kevin Hart, who also exec produces. It features one player racing through daunting obstacles while four other contestants are manning battle stations along the course, firing over-the-top projectiles in an attempt to knock them off and slow them down. It’s an “us versus them” scenario, with the top two players advancing to the final showdown to face off for a cash prize.
“Holly and Jane are incredible producers and have separately worked with me for many years,” Burnett said. “I am thrilled to put them together to lead our Tko team. They are both top-level network showrunners, and I look...

Being the parent of a newborn is never easy, but it can become exponentially more difficult when there is already a little one at home – even when you're Prince William and Princess Kate.
"Like any other parents, the duke and duchess are going to go through a transition period as they bring the new princess home," Jo Frost, known to many as the Supernanny, tells People.
But Frost says there are things new parents can do to make the transition easier for themselves and their older child:
1. Include the older child in the parenting duties.
"Prince George is coming up on being 2 years old.

The holiday season means many things to many people, but there's one thing it means for all of us: family couch time. There's a lot of sitting around in many of our very near futures, which also means a lot of scrolling through lists of shows in an attempt to reach a consensus, followed by the mutual "I don't care, whatever you guys want to watch" response, followed by silent seething. Let us help.My Cat From Hell (Netflix) Good for: All ages, including children; pet lovers; fans of Intervention, Hoarders et al, but also fans of The Dog Whisperer, Super Nanny, and lifestyle-guidance shows. The Pitch: Let's grant that host Jackson Galaxy has a very cultivated persona, with a silly name and a really silly beard and the job of being a cat whisperer. Fine. My Cat From Hell is still great on two fronts: First, holy moly, there...

The Mitchell family was in trouble on "Family S.O.S.," and they proved resistant to Jo Frost's attempts to help them work through their problems. Specifically, husband Mitch had no interest in doing her "homework" assignments.
“We’re not in high school no more," he told her. When she insisted that he was there to learn from her and this was part of the process, Mitch pulled out a terrible excuse, saying, "“But I was tired.”
“I don’t care! I don’t care! Ok? I don’t care whether you’re tired," Jo said. "I have an expectation. I expect you both to do the homework.”
But Jo's no-nonsense approach didn't sit well with the couple. They they decided they didn't want her help anymore. But Jo wasn't willing to give up so quickly. She went back in hopes of helping the couple, and they did eventually...

Former "Supernanny" Jo Frost has finally met her match on her new TLC series "Family S.O.S. With Jo Frost" (Tuesdays, 9 p.m. Et on TLC).
The Huffington Post has an exclusive sneak peek at this week's episode, above, which TLC is saying features the most difficult family she's ever worked with. Even this clip is hard to watch -- tell us, are you liking Jo's new show? Do you think she's up to tackling these tough cases?
Here's the official episode description from TLC:
The Mead family might be the loudest family in California. Father Dave (45), mother Tara (46), and daughter Ashlynn (16) constantly yell at and have a complete lack of respect for each other. What’s worse, this aggressive behavior is...

As TV's beloved "Supernanny," Jo Frost spent seven seasons coming to the rescue of parents whose tots created havoc - but she says she did much of her best counseling when the cameras were off. Frost pulled the plug on her long-running ABC hit in 2011 and began contemplating a new show in which she could assist all kinds of clans, not just those in need of the "naughty step."
"I wanted to be able to create a format that allows me to help the whole family," Frost tells Zap2it. "And I wanted to be able to look at 21st-century issues."
The resulting series, "Family S.O.S. With Jo Frost," airs Tuesdays on TLC and features Frost helping households dealing with impending divorce, bullying, relocation, rebellious teens and other family-fracturing issues.

Since 2005, English nanny Jo Frost has been helping families deal with problem children in the series Supernanny, while viewers at home have either watched with wide-eyed disbelief or frantically taken notes. The program originated in England in 2004 and aired on ABC in 2005 (and on the Style network through 2011), with Frost attending to dysfunctional American families after arriving in her trademark black London taxicab. In TLC's Family S.O.S. though, there's no cab and far fewer screaming toddlers, as Frost turns her attention to the entire family unit, with genuine and emotional results. Photos: THR's
