Just a poor man's Bear in the Big Blue House, dude!

I loath Bear in the Big House as it is, it plain stupid and pathetic but this makes it looks like a timeless children's classic! The show is taken from the fairly popular (but garbage) Blue's Clues, but now Blue can talk, is a puppet and has his own room. There they play happy games, sing lovely songs and celebrate each other birthdays. LAME! LAME! LAME! LAME! LAME! These producers just can't stop while they are ahead! Once a show is popular with kids like Blue's Clues, they because obsessed with greed and start making more spin-offs with different kinds of animation! If you take my advice, they should have let sleeping Blue lie. Do you and your kids a favour, skip this and turn it over when you see this on. Treat them with more toddler shows with dignity like "Thomas the Tank Engine" and "The Family Ness". Enough said.

Great Show

My son LOVES Blue's Clues. He sings the songs and does the dances. He enjoys the familiarity as they proceed through each episode in a similar way. Watching Blue's Room, it's no different. My son still loves the songs and the adventures. He just turned 2 yet he's already shouting out the numbers and shapes that he sees in various Blue's Room episodes. He's not interested in the newer shows, such as Dora or Diego. And he's not yet old enough to be interested in shows with more advanced topics and adventures, such as The Backyardigains. For now, I love that he loves Blue's Clues and Blue's Room. I wish I could find more Blue's items in stores!!

A hit with those that matter

My comments differ completely from Ian, who obviously finds that the show does not appeal to him. I write more from my 2 year old's view of this show, rather than my own as it was this age group that the show was intended for. Whenever this show comes on my child stops whatever they are doing and the television has his undivided attention until the show ends. This is a very rare reaction as most other shows he's happy to glance at while doing other activities. I can see from his reactions that he is learning many new words, and concepts as well as reinforcing his love of counting. It is clear that this show is developed by those with an understanding of early childhood learning principles as this show appeals to young children on many levels. My child can be heard counting, singing, imitating characters, laughing (especially at Rory) and saying new words from the show each time he watches it. Well done to those that developed the show. It is a big step forward from the Blue's Clue's shows that were a bit lame (to me) and far less appealing (to my child).
