Definitely better, than "Argo"
Czes1 June 2005
Kész cirkusz is the second Hungarian movie in the Guy Ritchie-style. The first one, Argo was watchable, but this movie is much better. Zsombor Dyga is very talented, his first movie Tesó was also a remarkable sociological comedy. This movie has the same actors (who are friends of the director, and were unknown before Tesó), but it is completed with Hungary's well-known actors and actresses (Imre Csuja, Péter Scherer, Eszter Ónodi, Dorottya Udvaros, etc.). The story is about a briefcase, what's accidentally lost, and then every character wants to find the briefcase, some for the money, some for save their lives, and some have other reasons... The movie itself is very funny and original (except the scene in the WC, which is so boring and absolutely a big cliché). Much better, than Argo, because it is funny without any cursing or violent scenes, and it has got also better characters and a good storyline. The only thing I didn't like in the movie, was what the briefcase contained, and the fact, that it's secret is out too soon... But I won't tell what's in the briefcase. Go see it :)

A real refreshment for Hungarian movie

Kész circus is a tearjerker. But you cry because you just can't stop laughing and you may even have to realize that you've got a stomachache... also caused by the incredible amount of laughter. It is the second movie of a very talented Hungarian director, who intends to show us the aspect of the inhabitants of a given segment of Budapest and their way of life. His very first film, Tesó succeeded in completing this mission, and now this special aspect is even spiced with a Guy Richie-like story and some additional characters, each worthing a whole movie. And of the characters, I have to mention Péter Scherer as Babbel, the ex-football star, and Imre Csuja as the private detective, who reminds movie geeks of Torrente... In the Hungarian-dubbed Torrente films, Imre Csuja is the voice of the "protagonist". A really, really, very funny movie indeed. It's an absolute TEN.
