Actor Salman Khan celebrates his 49th birthday today. Ever since the flamboyant ‘bad boy’ of Hindi Cinema made his debut in 1988 with the film Biwi Ho To Aisi, he has always maintained a good balance between his work as a entertainer and his work as a humanitarian.
Khan is one of the biggest stars in the Hindi film industry. After his debut he impressed with his roles in films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Saajan, Karan Arjun, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Phir Milenge, Tere Naam and Khamoshi. While he had a loverboy image in the nineties, he completely transformed into an action hero in recent years.

Khan increasingly appeared as the larger-than-life hero who single-handedly saved the world from all political games, while he beats up an army of bad guys on his own.

Shiamak is known as the Guru of Dance, and has choreographed some of the best dance pieces for stage and screen. To celebrate the choreographer’s birthday, we thought we would shine the light on his work in films! He truly has an eye for creating incredible creativity with his choreography on screen and we know you will enjoy watching every one.
‘Dhoom Again’ – Dhoom 2
The huge success of Dhoom 2 helped to solidify Hrithik Roshan’s career and no doubt his remarkable dance performance in the opening song ‘Dhoom Again’ showed him at his finest. Shiamak was of course responsible for the jaw-dropping choreography that can be seen throughout the song. It’s bold, edgy and something which we have never really seen in Bollywood before. Kudos to Shiamak on giving the song a big ‘dhoom!’

Chennai, June 27: Popular actress Madhoo, who is making her comeback to Tamil cinema in a yet-to-be-titled woman-centric film, directed by a lady, says women make such movies with a touch of sensitivity and sensibility.
Madhoo is returning to Tamil industry after 16-year hiatus with a movie directed by actor-filmmaker Lakshmu Ramakrishnan.
"I want to be part of more women directors' films. I would love to work in a film like 'Phir Milenge'. It's one of those films where Revathi (director) added a female's perspective to an issue and presented it with sensibility," Madhoo told Ians.
"Phir Milenge", a 2004 film, starred Abhishek.

Today, as Abhishek Bachchan grows a year older and pretends to be much older than he really is, I think back to the day almost two years in April 2011 when he came to my home in Patna. At around 6 pm when Abhishek taken off his shoes and had plonked himself comfortably on the floor in our house and we were all bitching about the whole industry, a neatly dressed man walked straight in and requested for a picture.I presumed he was part of Abhishek’s extended entourage of security guards, publicity co-ordinators and photographers. It turned out to be a man from the street who had slipped past the tight security, walked confidently up the four flights of stairs to our top floor, got his picture and walked out.
By this time the crowd that was around 500-people strong when Abhishek had arrive at 5.30 pm had swollen to approximately...

Quietly, Abhishek Bachchan has slithered forward to a place under the sun. Rohit Shetty's Bol Bachchan got the underrated actor a renewed box-office endorsement. After saying no to a slew of almost-accepted offers, Abhishek has finally given his nod to two major projects this year. The first of these is Farah Khan's Happy New Year which Abhishek starts shooting in the first quarter of the year. Abhishek would be sharing the marquee in Farah's film with Shah Rukh Khan. The two were supposed to come together in Farah Khan's directorial debut Main Hoon Na. Abhishek was supposed to play the role that eventually went to Zayed Khan. Now, in Happy New Year, Srk and Junior Ab are being cast in parallel parts. Farah would be Abhishek's second woman director after Revathi in Phir Milenge, not counting the cameo as himself in Zoya Akhtar's Luck By Chance...

The last few years have seen Bollywood filmmakers come down with a case of nostalgia for yesteryear's films. From Phir Milenge Chalti Chalti to the remix of 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' that opens Bachna Ae Haseeno, at the same that films are becoming more like Hollywood, filmmakers are borrowing the glamour of days past to try and sparkle up their films. Refreshingly, Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai isn't borrowing anything - it captures both the grit and glitz of 1970s Bombay all on its own. Allegedly based in part on the story of real life gangsters Haji Mastan and Dawood Ibrahim, the film both takes place in the 1970s and uses the style of the films from the era.

Controversy seems to follow this Bollywood beauty, often overshadowing her film career. In 2003, Shilpa Shetty's parents were allegedly linked to members of organized crime. In 2007, American actor Richard Gere caused an international uproar when he kissed Shilpa at an AIDS awareness event, prompting protests and legal action because such public displays are considered obscene by many Indians. Later in 2007, she appeared on the British reality TV show, "Celebrity Big Brother," and her fellow contestant Jade Goody was accused of racism toward Shilpa and evicted from the show. (Shilpa was voted the winner.) Through it all, she's maintained a respectable track record in film. Some of her notable pictures include her debut 'Baazigar' (1993), with Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, 'Phir Milenge' (2004), and 'Life in a...Metro' (2007). In 2009, Shilpa became a part-owner of the professional Indian cricket team, the Rajasthan Royals. She once dated Akshay Kumar and is...

December 1st marks World AIDS Day which means that along with the rest of the world, India too will create awareness about the dreaded disease. In the past, Bollywood has come out with two films in the past which have depicted the atrocity associated with AIDS and the discrimination that is associated with the disease.
Phir Milenge saw a beautiful Shilpa Shetty indulging in a physical relationship with an AIDS stricken Salman Khan only to be hit with HIV. She is thrown out of her job and discriminated against on various levels. The film also cleverly incorporated certain incorrect facts known about the disease: you cannot attract the disease by shaking hands or even a hug. The film also showed the lack of information that is available or even known about AIDS which ultimately is the reason the disease is spreading like wildfire in the country and around the world.

Those wondering what the team behind 2004's Phir Milenge will come up with next, need wonder no longer. Shailendra Singh of Percept Picture Company announced on Thursday that the company will be filming a crime thriller/exposé about movie piracy. Fittingly called Pirates, the picture will be directed by Ashu Trikha.
With the recent scandal about What's Your Raashee's master print being stolen by an AdLabs management member still fresh in the public's mind, it's the perfect time to announce Pirates. Anyone who's had to endure the innumerable public service ads before Hindi films on DVD knows that bootlegging is a tremendous problem in South Asian cinema, cutting into returns and flooding the market with inferior products. In fact, Ernst and Young estimate that piracy costs the Hindi film industry around Rs. 16,000 crore annually.
However, the revelation that even those who in theory benefit most from legitimate copies might benefit...

Preity Zinta wasn't about to just phone in her guest appearance in the Salman Khan/Kareena Kapoor starrer, Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna. The actress, whose last on-screen appearance was in a cameo during Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi's "Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte," decided to get serious about her item number, "Happening." An on-set source dishes, "Preity had a ten-day rehearsal with Farah Khan before she started shooting for the song. Every day she would rehearse for three hours. She also was on a special diet and hardcore workout and yoga and swimming sessions to be in shape for the song." Well, she must have been in pretty good shape already, because no ten-day workout will yield such awesome results without great starting material!
Sporting a look reminiscent of Aishwarya Rai's in Bunty Aur Babli's ever-famous "Kajra Re," Preity flirts through "Happening" in an open-air theatre located in Dubai.

Lara Dutta On The Cover Of Grazia
Date: 01/26/2009:
Former Miss Universe 2000 Lara Dutta will grace the cover of January 2009 edition of magazine Grazia. Lara did not have any major release in 2008 even after having a box office hit Partner (2007) in 2007. She did have a special appearance in song Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte in movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (Rnbdj) (2008) and voice over in animated movie Jumbo (2008). But Lara seems to have started off 2009 on the right note, first by being on the Grazia cover, which will be followed by Srk's home production Billo Barber (2009) in February, followed by Blue (2009) and then Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai (2009) later in 2009.
