Very funny and witty

I have to admit, I did not expect anything good from the modern Russian movies, especially when they are longer than 2 hours, but this one made me laugh many times - in fact, there is a strong urge to watch it again to memorize the excellent jokes! The actors play very good (Nahapetov is excellent), the jokes are not old or vulgar or predictable, and in general the movie is definitely worth seeing. And I should add, it's much better than My Big Fat Greek Wedding, which is somewhat similar in plot, but not half as funny. Most of the comments I read are negative and give good movies 3 or 4... I'd give this one 9 to 10. Thanks to the makers of this comedy for a great time and for not making yet another pathetic gangster serial!

Very simple

A very simple and tasteless film, bluntly contorted version of the "Greek" one... Avoid this unless you are movie pervert... The only bright point is Natalia Andreychenko - true professional, a bright star among the ungifted crew. And why I am not surprised to see Armen Jigarkhanian - the same role for years and years! I think this guy just made only one movie and then they just copy-and-pasted him into several ones. Overall, this film is another sad examples of how the square producers can spoil great theme. I hope that others will resist the temptation to stage something like Kazakh and Chuvash and Azeri and Croat and Mongolian fat weddings!!!

Delightful comedy!!! I loved it!!!

This is a gem! A delightful funny comedy made in the best traditions of Russian comedies. In many ways it's like the wonderful comedies we had back in the Soviet days. I highly recommend this movie. Especially for someone who is in an interracial relationship this movie will be very relevant. I myself am a Russian girl dating an Indian guy and I can see so many parallels between the "traditional parents" of the Armenian culture (as presented in this movie and the Indian culture. In the movie a Russian girl and an Armenian guy fall in love and want to get married, but the parents on both sides are against this interracial union and try to find ways to stop it. The lovers have to overcome obstacles to stay together and find happiness. Funny, kind, a bit naive, but very happy and refreshing movie! Highly recommend!
