Fight Club (the game) is crap
cryocore19 July 2005
Do not but/rent/play this piece of garbage. Not only does it completely miss the point of the movie, it is a very poor and basic fighting game. Story mode is a joke. This is just another attempt to cash in on amazing movie by releasing a weak game with a well known name tacked on.

Avoid at all costs.

If people stop buying this kind of junk the cash hungry marketers will stop pushing for them to get made, this means more money for decent games, and less sh1t we as consumers have to deal with.

I am Jacks sense of utter contempt.

The ninth rule of fight club is "Do not play the crappy game"
Meven_Stoffat19 November 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I am a huge fan of the original movie FIGHT CLUB. David Fincher is a great director of movies and I was excited to play the game. I could play as Jack and "destroy something beautiful." Really, the only people who "destroyed something beautiful" were the creators of this game.

Firstly, none of the characters look like the movie characters, Bob (originally played by Meat Loaf Aday), for instance, or not even Angel (originally played by 30 Seconds To Mars' Jared Leto). I can live with the fact that Ed Norton and Brad Pitt do not return for the game, but the voice actors here suck.

And the moves? Suck. There are not many good moves, and even the best moves are hard to do... and they're not even that good! And story mode? Beat in about half an hour.

Sorry, this game sucks!

the worst game in history..
falling_at_breakneck_spe31 August 2006
this game is so far from the movie, and misses every point made in the movie.

it is also the worst fighting game i have ever played in my entire life. while the graphics are....decent, the controls are frustrating, there is virtually no story (but then, that is true with many fighting games) and ..

well. it is just absolute garbage. if you like the movie, you'll hate the game.. if you like video games, you'll hate the game its crap ...

i almost feel bad for Chuck Palahniuk for having his name attached to something so crappy. i love his writing, but this game is an insult ..

to fans, and to Chuck..

A very brutal and underrated game

Why do people criticize this game? Sure its not great but its not terrible. Fight Club has brilliant graphics. The blood effects are very good as you see burst noses, blood and bruises on fighters faces and even swollen eyes. At the end of a match you can do a bonebreaking move where you can do things like snap a guys leg or arm in half. This is the highlight of the game. The fighting feels a little sluggish at times and it wouldn't hurt to put more things to unlock and moves but they're is still a decent amount. Fight Club will keep you playing for a while. I think its the lifespan thats the worst thing about the game but it'll take you a while to beat the game with all the characters and figure out all the bonebreaking moves. If they gave a story for each character then it would have been a lot better but its still good despite this. The Soundtrack is brilliant and also lets you listen to your own tracks.

Despite its flaws, Fight Club is a good fighter that is really brutal and fun. It defiently deserves at least a 3 and thats why I'm giving it a 4 and not a 5. Its not the best but its certainly not the worst. Its a decent game that you should pick up for a good price.
