TORONTO -- Plans for the second coming of MTV in Canada were unveiled Monday as Canadian broadcaster CTV announced that it will produce MTV Live, a flagship talk TV series from Toronto, for the soon-to-be-launched Canadian MTV channel. The news marks the first fruits of a strategic alliance signed in September between CTV and MTV Networks International with an eye to broadening the MTV brand in Canada. CTV said it will rebrand its Masonic Temple studio facility in downtown Toronto to host production of MTV Live, a Canadian-made talk show to air Monday through Friday.
