Film noir, sock-style!
agviz17 December 2005
The Lady from Sockholm is a pun-lover's dream film. It's loaded with so many sock puns and clever film references that you'll wonder how Producer/Writer Lynn Lamousin came up with all this stuff. What's interesting to me is how the film plays well to both children and seasoned film lovers who can enjoy the nods to film noir. Kids love the sock puppets, while adults enjoy the humor that manages to be both corny and sophisticated at the same time.

There is so much packed into this film that I'll have to see it again someday. When I saw it at the 2005 Mill Valley Film Festival, I sometimes missed what others were laughing at because the jokes were flying by so fast and furiously.

I recommend the film to families and classic film lovers alike!
