A man struggles to survive, finding strength for it to interpret and tell stories.

The book tells the story of an unemployed actor - or who have displaced the system by not agree with him. Twenty years after being a big hit, is caught roaming the periphery of an imaginary country whose capital is Harmada. "It is clear that this country is Brazil."

The film besides speaking person failed, the unemployed, shows the political position of the actor. "He wanted to make a kind of theater, art, expression, had no space inside your country, and Harmada, which would be the great center, where things happen. During the film, the actor begins to revitalize and while walked back to Harmada, works with an amateur theater group Mambembe, a kind of free expression of social behavior and deviant art saying what people like to talk, but gets stuck in the throats "
