Decent movie
trepid119 July 2008
This movie is about a guy who slept with a girl, she gets pregnant delivers the kid to him and elaves for America. 8-10 years later she reappears, curious about her son. The father is not happy to see her. The father son relationship was a little to close, but even with that I didn't get a feel that they are related, there was no chemistry. I was able to over look this and enjoyed the movie. I am not sure I would recommend this film over others, but its worth a watch. Min-seo Chae does a good job playing the mother. As a high schooler she plays a tough girl. As an adult she very prim and proper but can still get mean.

Good story

Warning: Spoilers
While it isn't the biggest blockbuster movie to hit the screens, it's a well rounded movie. You have to be super stiff to not care about the characters involved and don't expect a long drawn out explanation of events. The movie gets to the story at a decent pace and reels you in with interaction between the cast. If anything annoyed me it was my feelings for the characters' plights such as the annoying insistence of some of the friends as if they couldn't comprehend the father's stance, but expected him to forego 8 years due to the mother's sudden appearance. Although, it's to be expected and it's not so annoying as to kill the movie...it actually helps you get into the situation and relate.

Overall this was a good movie...

Simply put, this is life.

Warning: Spoilers
Essentially, this is a film about the relationship between a father and his eight year old son, played admirably by Woong In-Jeong, and Yoo Seung-Ho, respectively. High school student Woong In-Jeong has a brief relationship with another High school student, which results, a year later, in a baby being delivered to Woong In-Jeong's classroom. Woong is left with no choice but to get a job, to support the child. Eight years or so pass, and we return to see that Woong, although still quite immature, loves his son very much, and shares all aspects of his life with him. The problem is, Woong lacks confidence in himself, and over-compensates by being his son's best friend. This leads to the roles sometimes being reversed, with the boy being the parent. This is a tender, beautiful, laugh-out-loud drama, of a type that simply has to be categorised as "Life". There is no melodrama here; the story is conveyed through the sheer quality of the acting and backstage craft of those involved, especially Yoo Seung-Ho.
