The second entry in the 'Interpretaris' franchise
jamesrupert20149 January 2022
The crew of the experimental starship Vega 4 is dispatched to Galaxy 5 where megalomaniacal villain Zodian (Edward Hepple) is threatening Earth with his deadly "galaxy dust". Set in the same future as 1966's 'Interpretaris', using the same models (the Vega 4 is a 'souped-up' Interpretaris) but featuring a new (although very similar looking) three-person crew (plus Interpretaris' lovelorn computeroid Henry's 'younger cousin', also named Henry). I could only find the first of seven episodes on-line but the show looks like a typical, low-budget children's space-adventure that, even in 1968, must have appeared very primitive compared to with was being exported from the US at the time (such as the silly but vivid "Lost in Space' (1966)). Like its predecessor, 'Vega 4' is likely of interest only to TV historians or sci-fi life-listers.
