Toronto -- The U.S. computer-generated sci-fi film "Terra" picked up the grand prize for best animated feature at the five-day Ottawa International Animation Festival, which wrapped Sunday.
Aristomenis Tsirbas' debut feature, voiced by Brian Cox, Dennis Quaid, Luke Wilson and Evan Rachel Wood, beat out 109 films -- including 30 from Canada -- for top honors.
Other prize winners include Australian director Dennis Tupicoff's "Chainsaw," which earned the top prize for indie short animation, and British filmmakers Frank Budgen and Darren Wals' "Play-Doh," which was tabbed as the best commissioned animation.
The prize for best TV animation for kids went to "The Upstate Four," from U.S. cartoonist Fran Krouse.
