ACLU is part of the problem, not the solution.
dcalyn18 November 2007
I didn't mind this documentary, though it was heavily liberally biased, it still made sense in many ways, I don't agree with the Patriot Act in many ways but in some cases I do. It didn't need to be on the Running Man Video that was just a really coy way of preaching a Liberal Gospel to people. (IE The filmmakers telling you that you have to see that, in Our Opinion The Bush Administration is just so terrible)

This video was okay up until they had The ACLU involved giving their two cents. That's when it ceased to hold any water with me as the ACLU is responsible from taking an unlimited amount of liberties to wreck havoc on communities that are united in their beliefs. Just because one person is offended or affronted this gives no just cause to take away the majority of the community's beliefs or practices. The Government as far as I am concerned maybe dangerous, but those at the ACLU who connive and wheel and deal law suits against other peoples beliefs, while at the same time take cases for Child Pornographers, Convicted Terrorists, and anyone who has a gripe with the Judeo-Christian Community is just plain undermining authority and wrong. And if you don't think it is just wait, because when you mess with someone's right to disagree and force them to submit to your opinion rather than winning that person over, then guess what? You'll wake up one day and find that your freedom of speech has been taken away from you too.

The Truth Hurts

Warning: Spoilers
If you think this doc is biased, then you're just not paying attention. Conservatives and liberals who support the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights can all take something away from this piece. There's no reason to wonder why this was added to the Running Man special edition DVD, the film was trying to tell us something about freedom and control. As Americans, we were supposed to keep an eye on our leaders. We were supposed to recognize and support the checks and balances put in place by our Founding Fathers. Those who resort to labeling this as "Leftist" or "Biased" are sorely mistaken. Land of the Free/Home of the Brave isn't just a catchy lyric. It's a way of life. Be brave, accept freedom, fight tyranny!

it hit the bulls eye

The other review of this documentary was mostly spot on. I'm not a big fan of the aclu either as their primary objective isn't to support the rights of one person at the expense of the judeo christian community. The primary purpose of the aclu is to make money. But this isn't here nor there. I didn't know the aclu was involved in making this movie until i read that review. The other review also missed the motive for the government's actions of taking away american's civil rights, and that is to keep and stay in power, and to make money. You have to look at the common denominator in all of this - it's all about the money - in every aspect: on a personal, political, and social level. And when your allegiance is to money, well, then, it can not be to the constitution. No one serves two masters. That bit of wisdom is older than the hills.
