This is a wonderful show. And the sad thing is, it's very likely to be cancelled after this season because so many people have stopped watching it. Why? I couldn't tell you. This show combines religion with real life issues in a beautiful way. Don't listen to the people who seem to be out to get this show. I have comments to each of those people:
Daniel: No one is pretending to be God. You obviously never watched this show.
SkyGirl12: You talked about excessive whining in this show, which I don't see at all. Especially about Kevin. If you were crippled by your best friend, you would probably be upset too.
Melissa Birk: You had good things to say about the show but then you started dissing the characters. The actress may be 'perfect' in your eyes, but her character in the show isn't. She used to hang out with a popular crowd (which was told in an early episode) but she befriended some misfits and was ousted from the preps. Her friends are not losers or one-dimensional, they each have distinct characters and grow and change as the series goes on.
HerrSweeny: The occurrences in the show are not clichéd, they are typical things that happen to high schoolers, which is essentially what this show is based around. I suppose you want the crazy out of the ordinary things like heroineworshipper. (see below)
tbshmkr: God a bully? You must not have watched this show. No one is pretending to be God. God is giving Joan assignments to complete and no one is bullying her into anything. If you're going to post, get your facts straight.
heroineworshipper: Each episode clearly has its own plot with new ideas. Apparently this is not the type of show that you watch. Inspector Gadget? Where did that idea come from? And Joan is not going to save an astronauts or end wars. This is a realistic show with issues that affect high schoolers and that could plausibly be changed in the real world.
Niebel: This show is in no way sexist. Everyone in the show, regardless of gender, has a weakness of some kind. Yeah, they do pick on Friedman, but that's just because he's the scrawny nerdy kid. The show does have strong female characters, but also has strong male ones as well. Joan's dad is a police officer, one brother is a genius and the other is making his way through becoming a paraplegic.
These people need to take a better look at the show and see what it is really about. God is not a conspiracy in this show. I urge everyone to watch and to try to help boost the ratings so that we can see this show for many years to come.
