Review
(2004-2005) The second and final season of the family drama with divine intervention. God (with a capital G) takes on human form (or rather, a whole cast of forms) and appears to high school student Joan Girardi (Amber Tamblyn) with a series of tasks. Police detective Dad (Joe Mantegna) tries to be a moral force in his family as well as his professional life, which is rife with internal politics and cozy corruption, Mom (Mary Steenburgen) is working through spiritual crisis, her older brother (Jason Ritter) is a former athlete in a wheelchair after a car wreck, and her genius younger brother (Michael Welch) is in love with an anti-social rebel.
