Veteran French porn director Alain Payet proves he still had his chops with this postcard-beautiful escapist exercise from Marc Dorcel. It was released Stateside as part of a package at the time by Wicked Pictures.
Top Dorcel talent Melanie Coste plays the nominal bad guy, a scheming blonde who with her confederate Rodolph (hired as a butler) infiltrates the jet set at St.-Tropez with bisexual gold-digging on her mind. She becomes the lover of a wealthy brunette lady and after several misadventures inveigles her way into the arms of dreamboat Prince Ramon (Ramon Nomar, he of the invented palindrome moniker). Extremely cynical ending shows that Payet still has something to say even in drivel like this project, and puts a satisfying full stop at the finish of the fluff.
Very tall Coste is a delight, and is upstaged along the way by several bombastic starlets, with huge breasts on two blondes virtually putting her into the character actress ranks by comparison. I am continuously intrigued by the crystal clear, utter beauty of such video features shot a decade or so ago, far better looking than the flood of "high definition" junk made more recently - simply proof that new technology is not necessarily better from an artistic or aesthetic point of view.
