Sex & Nudity

  • A young man is standing naked inside of a freezer, his genitals are blurred.
  • Four characters (three men, one woman) are seen showering, soap covers their bodies and no genitals are seen.
  • Dead bodies are often displayed, their genitles are always hidden by a medical towel/gown. They are often shown. The bodies are sometimes cut open, and on a few occasions the Medical Examiner is shown cutting the chest of a male open.

Violence & Gore

  • Dead bodies are seen in almost every episode. Some of them are found in a graphic, bloody situation.
  • Violence is pretty violent but not as much as CSI. autopsy scenes.
  • Frequent shootouts and hand-to-hand combat. Some bloody, most not.

  • A woman is shot in the head from a distance by a terrorist, blood sprays on her colleagues faces.
  • Often terrorist activity discussed, some episodes, albeit not many, are about the NCIS team, and primarly Gibbs, taking revenge on them, traking them down and usually a single gunshot to the head.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Kate's death is unexpected and shocking. All of her friends are grieving and imagining and talking to her through the two episodes "Kill Ari".
