Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • There is an unspoken sexual subtext about Anna's relationship with William. She tells him all her most intimate secrets and he listens patiently. Although neither of them ever says it out loud, we sense that perhaps they could fall in love. Near the end, Anna leaves and she kisses William goodbye on the cheek tenderly.
  • After his unfaithful wife leaves him, William tries to look up Anna and finally finds her. We can tell, although she does not say it, that she is very happy to see him. The final scene shows them talking in her bedroom as if they were very good, platonic friends, but as the scene progresses, there is a cut and we then see her sitting on the bed very close to him. Although the film ends there, it is not a stretch to imagine that the two will end up kissing very shortly and finally become lovers.

Violence & Gore

  • Anna confesses to William that she unintentionally caused the car accident that disabled her husband, and at one point he bursts into William's office. There is a strong indication that he may do something violent to William, but nothing happens.
