Unwatchable crap, as poor as it gets
Cash Markman is infamous for cranking out at least a thousand video scripts, hardly any of them (I enjoyed "Get Lucky") good. This Star Trek rip-off is so lousy and inept on so many levels that it qualifies for that rather large dung heap of unwatchable cinema.
Biggest problem, as it appears on the current DVD version from Porncomixxx/KBeech, is the entire 90-minute opus has been rotoscoped into a very blurry, jitter-motion simulation of a water-colored comic strip. Why this is considered artistic is beyond my grasp, but the resulting Blurrovision is hard to watch, renders the sex scenes illegible (thought the alteration leaves in the vivid appearance of condoms rather than airbrushing them away) and turns the visuals into non-stop ugliness. Even the actresses look terrible as a result.
Markman's script is endless infantile puns and jokes that a fourth- grader making a backyard movie might employ. How he made a living, even in such a wild-west industry as Adult Entertainment, is as mysterious as him ending up teaching screen writing at some no-name school.
Cast does a terrible job in their impersonations, particularly Randy Spears' attempt at Shatner tics, and the predictable interracial sex scene for Lt. Uwhora with Mr. Sperm (hammy Mike Horner plus pointy ears) is botched. Obsession is unrecognizable in Blurrovision as Nichelle Nichols.
The story of a vast vagina in Outer Space plaguing the crew has zero continuity and utter pointlessness, and both the SPFX and the tinny music imitating Alexander Courage are horrible. I was tempted to chuck this DVD into the waste basket after a few minutes, but managed to live through a bottom-of-the-barrel viewing experience.
