YEH DIL

Outdated, old fashioned and totally out of today's world The characterizations of both families looks too stupid The romance too is sudden There are few well handled scenes like Natasha falling of a train.etc

There are many nonsense scenes like the entire climax plus suddenly Tusshar banging people double his size

Direction is bad Music is good

Tusshar tries hard and his sincerity shows but he is uncomfortable in the dramatics and overacts a lot Natasha is good The others are okay

Yeh Dil- Na Maange More

Warning: Spoilers
1. In the beginning dialogs of the film, there is a mention of Connaught Palace and even in the climax the characters talk about Qutub Minar and other places of Delhi but when the Railway Station of the City is shown it turns out to be Hyderabad. The Directors should better take some Geography lessons.

2. A Contract Killer is after the life of Heroine and she just escapes from him. She finds hero on the way. They are not carrying anything with them but by the time the Contract Killer reaches them, they had a house, a shed full of Cattle and a booming Milk business, all in the middle of a Jungle, and in the course of a song.

3. In the Climax, Police force in hundreds reaches to stop the Hero from marrying Heroine. Don't they have any other productive thing to do? what else can one expect in such film. utter trash !!

Oh dear....

Yeh Dil is an amateurish, typical, B-grade film. It has absolutely nothing new to offer and has been done thousands upon thousands of times before.

Poor acting, writing, directing, horrible music.

What on Earth the makers were thinking when they made this film, I well never know. Maybe they were high or something.

Tusshar Kapoor...well the less said the better. Maybe he is trying to prove that the only reason he is working in films is because of his family connections.

Anyway, do not watch this film even if you are paid to.

Not that bad....

Listen this movie does have a cliched plotline, but again it was 2003, they had to stick to certain themes to cater to a larger audience. Also, if you are in that phase where you can easily watch early 21st century content, I don't think it should bother you 😂 cuz same. To be honest, I watched this film because of that vicious aunt's character and to see her get beaten up in the end, achi hy, you won't get bored! Songs aren't that special btw.

The movie is a remake of Nuvvu Nenu.

Actress Anita(Natassha in Kucch To Hai) has the girl-next-door looks. And a couple of good songs. Those are the plus points.

The movie is a masala of lot of usual love stories.

watchable !!

Romeo, Juliet, and the reinvention of the telephone

Warning: Spoilers
Disclaimer first: this is the eighth Bollywood movie I've watched, so compared to the many hundreds of American/European ones, you can call me a newbie.

That said, I can't understand the low rating Yeh Dil gets. It may share many characteristics with other Bollywood products, but I was positively surprised.

What starts as a college comedy, turns into a deep love affair, strongly opposed by the respective parents, up to the point of locking the lovers up, in different cities, and arranging for murderous thugs, resp. a contract killer, to do away with the other part.

Thrilling drama ensues, in which two highlights for me were the multiple troubles they had to go through to make a phone call, including electronics assembly and coded instructions in the classroom.

Passenger trains between Hyderabad and Mumbai play an important role, as well as a friendly truck driver.

What surprised me was the big showdown in the end, where the private affairs of the two brought masses of student demonstrators, and riot police, out. The conflict of generations, parents vs. children, and their different views on how life should be, and (but I've seen that more often) an interesting negative image of the police, "toothless tigers" being my first association.

I felt very much entertained by Yeh Dil. It brought me excitement, surprises, laughter, and some tears. I keep it in good memory, and give it an 8.
