Toward the end of the film, Miranda Bailey hands Gina Philips the crossbow with a gentle toss. The first take was a bigger toss, and Gina got hit with the crossbow, chipped a tooth, and split her lip.
Director Matthew Luetwyler and actor Brent David Fraser (The Drifter) had been constant comrades in the early 1990s, in a group of guys that hung out together nearly every day, including actors Billy Burke and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, but hadn't seen each other for the better part of a decade when they re-joined on the the "Dead & Breakfast" set to work together.
