Warning: Spoilers
Treachery and greed is rewarded short term, however there is no longevity for a traitor!

The film follows the life of a revolutionary who is betrayed. Following a sentence of 101 years with no hearing, said revolutionary is sent to a cruel prison.

Time passes and an Inspector from Geneva is sent to the prison to review the facility and the prisoners, due to an agreement with the world leaders at the time and the Ottoman Sultan.

Expecting the visit the 'warden' fixes up the facility and starts feeding the revolutionary, even allows a doctor to treat his wounds from the daily beatings.

The doctor who was a friend of the inspector conveys a message from the harshly treated inmate that is serving a sentence of 101 years with no evidence just word of mouth intelligence. The inspector is to go back to Geneva and release all political prisoners who are detained with no evidence.

While the inspector travels to deliver the news the revolutionary is sent to the harshest part of the prison where an exiled Turk official reigns over the inmates. The inmates have to pay for there life each month and fight for survival on top of the payment.

Life is slightly easier with no daily beatings from the guards, but the revolutionary has little to no coins to pay the tyrant. The first month payment is made. Enter friend of the revolutionary an older revolutionary. The elder sacrifices himself leaving the young protagonist with an extra coin to pay for another month while the news travels to Geneva and back.

The revolutionary struggles to stay alive while also trying to figure out who betrayed him. In the final moments he is forced to pay for his life, however in a moment of weakness he uses his last coin on a fellow prisoner who was getting executed due to refusing to pay for his life. Now stuck with no money he gets rescued in the nick of time by the officials who are carrying a pardon from the Sultan himself swayed by the World leaders.

Leaving the prison he returns to the judge who sent him away for 101 years with no evidence to boast and threaten him for good measure. Finally the movie end with the traitor meeting his maker.
