  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: Wilkes has a silenced pistol, but when he fires it, we clearly hear an unsilenced sound.

  • Continuity: When Fisher is in the Osprey en route to his first mission, Grimsdottir is standing behind him, hands on his shoulders. The camera view that Lambert has of Fisher shows nobody behind him.

  • Continuity: When Sam knocks grabs or knocks out a guard while he holds his weapon in his hands, the guard will never drop the weapon, not even after picking him up or dropping him.

  • Factual errors: Knocking out a guard obviously makes a lot more noise than shooting him, even though its supposed to be the stealthier way. The game's explanation is that other guards can hear him groan when shot, but they don't seem to hear the noises made when you knock him out (he still groans, and then hits the floor rather hard).

  • Factual errors: The U.S. does not recognize the renaming of Burma by its ruling military junta to Myanmar. The name change "was not approved by any sitting legislature in Burma", and as a result, the US government has never adopted the name Myanmar. It is therefore illogical that the name Myanmar is used in the game rather than Burma, since Third Echelon (the agency Sam Fisher works for) is a US intelligence agency.
