Last entry in the Leprechaun series to feature Warwick Davis as the Leprechaun.
The Leprechaun has a new outfit in this movie than the others giving him a more demonic look.
This is the only movie where we see The Leprechaun's bare feet.
Leprechaun 5: In the Hood (2000) director Rob Spera was involved with this project in its early stages, and came up with two proposed stories: one set in Venice Beach, and another set on an island during spring break. However, the strong home video sales of the previous film resulted in the producers insisting that the film be again set in an inner city with a cast primarily made up of rappers. Not wanting to rehash the previous film, Spera left and was replaced by Steven Ayromlooi who was a hardcore fan of the series by that point.
Several of the Leprechaun's lines in this movie reflect earlier Leprechaun films. The "Damn clovers" line and the "eye for an eye, me dear" were used in the original.
