"Priklyucheniya Petrova i Vasechkina" is a movie about two buddies - two simple pupils (of the Soviet era) who are very funny. The movie has fine music and songs performed by children and nice background electronic soundtrack. The acting is very outspoken and frank. The movie itself consists of 2 large parts (each of them also contains several smaller ones). Each piece is a kind of short story. All the stories are linked together. Though, at first sight the film may seem very childish, it is a mistake to judge it like this, because it has some moral lessons to teach and more than a few witty jokes to consume.

Watch out for a great spoof of our legendary action movie of 1970. The good old actor (you should have guessed already) is back in his genuine "Red Army" uniform. His ironic smile is there too. It also spoofs "Little Red Riding Hood" and "The Taming of the Shrew" in such charming ways that you have no choice but goggle.

Open your ears to hear a few memorable songs performed by the talented children who are in charge of the highly entertaining atmosphere of the film. Their "intrusion" into the fabric of the movie is quite nice and each performance looks like a music video. One of the finest songs is "the tram fantasy" at the very end of the first part of the movie. It has got strange words and a very dreamy feel about it.

Such films have magic, which is present in Mr Charlie Chaplin's works. Sometimes lots of modern cinema samples must be just kicked aside and one of such films is to be re-discovered in all its glory. By the way, watch out for a little "Charles Chaplin" in one of the performances dedicated to the art of cinema.

The sequel to this movie - "Kanikuly Petrova i Vasechkina" - can be easily named the No.1 movie for kids making the impossible: it beats the original on all grounds (the sets, the characters, the tunes and songs are pure genius).

If you miss its sequel, you'll flush your life down the drain.

10 out of 10, highly entertaining and highly sophisticated. Thanks for attention.
