Kelsey Grammer voiced the part of Benedict Arnold in the A&E documentary mini-series, "The American Revolution", reading off-screen extracts from Arnold's letters and papers as Arnold was portrayed on-screen by another actor.
This was filmed in Dublin to avail of local tax breaks.
Filming was supposed to start in Dublin in the spring of 2001, but was delayed for a year, due to the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in livestock in the UK. It was the first project to halt filming due to the outbreak. Due to the delay, Tom Berenger, who was originally cast as Benedict Arnold, dropped out.
