The second major spin-off of "The Big Bang Theory" — which itself is a spin-off of the spin-off "Young Sheldon" — gives away the game right there in the title. "Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage" gives Georgie Cooper (Montana Jordan) and his wife Mandy McAllister (Emily Osment), who got married in season 7 of "Young Sheldon," the spotlight as they try to navigate a life together as young parents. The thing is because Chuck Lorre keeps expanding the Sheldon Cooper Cinematic Universe (the Sccu?) even though Sheldon Cooper's future is firmly established thanks to The Big Bang Theory — where Jim Parsons plays Sheldon — we already know that Georgie gets married and divorced twice, hence the words "first marriage" in that title.
"Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage" premieres on October 17 on CBS and is set to bring back a bunch of "Young Sheldon" veterans, not to mention adding in some new faces — and...

Robert Downey Jr is a legend in every definition of the word. He has stood tall through the test of time, still being one of the most respected and successful people to have ever been a part of the film industry. Versatility has stayed constant throughout his professional life, making a name for himself through his work as Iron Man, but starring in all kinds of roles along with it.

When you hear the name Seth MacFarlane, you’ll probably know that you’re in for some borderline humor that does hit the spot but not always in the way you’d expect. MacFarlane is funny, which cannot be denied, but his humor has been divisive from the very beginning. Whether it’s Ted, his Oscar hosting gig, or his most famous work, the adult animated series Family Guy, MacFarlane certainly knows how to draw attention to himself. The latter series has, despite all the praise directed at it, often been criticized for its humor and how it tends to take things too far, especially when sensitive social issues are concerned.
Now, this report isn’t about MacFarlane directly, but it is about another Family Guy character, the paraplegic macho police officer Joe Swanson, who is voiced by one of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces and voices, Patrick Warburton. The...

Somewhere along the line, Zachary Levi became one of Hollywood's favorite leading men - not that most people would know it. After recently playing uptight doctor Benjamin in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel's second season, he's starring as the titular hero in the upcoming superhero film Shazam!. If you recognize him, you're definitely not alone. Levi has starred in some of the most popular movies of the past several years - and lent his voice to a Disney hero for a new age.
Levi made his television debut in Big Shot: Confessions of a Campus Bookie, a made-for-tv movie in 2002. After taking on a few smaller roles on sitcoms in the early 2000s (anyone remember the charming Less Than Perfect?), he landed what would be his breakout role: accidental spy Chuck Bartowski on the NBC spy comedy Chuck. For five seasons, from 2007 to 2012, Levi played Chuck, a tech-store nerd who accidentally...

Sara Rue has been cast in a series regular role in the NBC drama pilot “Prism,” Variety has learned.
“Prism” is an exploration of a murder trial in which every episode is told through the perspective of a different key person involved. Each new version of the facts ratchets up the mystery and the suspense, calling into question everything we have seen so far and asking if the right person is on trial. Driven by an ensemble of complicated characters, the show lets the audience ask if truth matters less than who can tell the most compelling story.
Rue will play Alexis Boden, who is described as ambitious and views the trial as her “Serial” opportunity. Rue joins previously announced cast members Malin Akerman, Mykelti Williamson, Ramon Rodriguez, Chloe Wepper, David Alpay, and Brooke Smith.

That's right, Michael Rosenbaum -- who played the Superman villain on "Smallville" from 2001-2011 -- made his first appearance at the geek convention in 2015, almost 15 years after the teen drama premiered on The WB. "Lex Loser," the actor joked when toofab's Brian Particelli caught up with him and costar Sara Rue in San Diego over the weekend, where the two were promoting their new TV Land comedy "Impastor." And with Jesse Eisenberg stepping into Luthor's shoes for the highly-anticipated "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," we had to ask -- is Michael excited to see a new take on his former role? "I’ll always check things out," he said, excitedly. "I don’t hold grudges like ‘Oh, it isn’t me!’ Eisenberg will be great. Why’s it always the Jews with Lex Luthor? Rosenbaum, Eisenberg, what’s going on here?...

Jane the Virgin is cooking up a lot more than just the misplaced bun in its heroine’s oven.
The new CW series’ premiere left us with a bounty of burning questions, starting with the most obvious: Will Jane take legal action against the doc who accidentally artificially inseminated her?
Then there’s the matter of Jane’s romantic life, including whether we can really trust new fiancé Michael. And how about whether or not Jane will learn that her father is a huge telenovela star?

Updated: Victory is ours. Put down your boomboxes. Fold up your kickboxing trousers. Wait for the airplane to ding. This is not a drill, and frankly, it’s nearly impossible to believe that this is happening, but here it is: NBC is making a series based on Say Anything, Cameron Crowe‘s 1989 John Cusack- and Ione Skye-starring teen romance. It’s okay if this news is hard to swallow, because even with the recent rash of small screen revivals of beloved properties — think Real Genius, Problem Child and Big – word that Say Anything is getting a new television series seems almost too bizarre to be believed, too weird to be true. Let’s parse this. Deadline reports that the film “is being revisited as a series for Generation Ys.” The new series has been imagined as a single-camera comedy (a comedy, a comedy), which features Justin Adler (Better Off Ted, Samantha...

Jones. Impastor follows Bubby Dobbs (Smallville's Michael Rosenbaum), a gambling pothead who, trying to escape from a loan shark, steals...

Sara Rue is returning to TV, this time for TV Land’s new show Impastor. She won the female lead role opposite of Smallville‘s Michael Rosenbaum (Buddy), who moves to a small town to leave behind his past debuts. With this move he is required to come up with a new personalty and thus he declares himself as a gay pastor. Yes, this comedy reeks of Fran Drescher’s old show. Sara will play Dora, Buddy’s assistant. Christopher Vane is behind this new comedy.
Sara worked on previous comedies such as Popular, Rules of Engagement and Less than Perfect. She hasn’t had a big role in a while and while TV Land is the Las Vegas of TV-it could give her a new lease on life. Right now it appears that show is in pre-production which means we will likely not see it until sometime in 2015.

By Robert W. Welkos Comedian Andy Dick is hosting his weekly show on the online channel TradioV when he nonchalantly places a plastic cup filled with a little Hennessey cognac in front of his guest, Dinky the dog. Dinky, a white-haired, doe-eyed Peekapoo outfitted in a colorful vest, happens to have more followers on the Internet than Dick, but that’s another story. After mischievously placing the plastic cup of liquor temptingly close to Dinky, the host goes about discussing Dinky’s phenomenal popularity when Dick begins gesticulating rapidly and nervously, allowing his hands to flick a tad inside Dinky’s comfort zone. Dinky snarls. Dinky growls. Dinky yaps. Then things really get out of hand as Dinky repeatedly lunges in staccato-like bursts as the host recoils in his chair while clutching the microphone in a defensive posture. “Don’t (bleep) with Dinky’s Hennessey,” the comedian quips as studio...

In reviewing romantic comedies, one of the best descriptions of a movie is to call it as “cute.” It basically means that the movie is definitely not great, but one is trying really, really hard not to classify it as abysmal.
And with many people, the word “cute” is probably the best description for “Dorfman in Love.”
“Dorfman in Love” follows a young woman named Deb Dorfman (played by Sara Rue), who has a crush on a handsome international news reporter Jay (played by Johann Urb). Jay gets an assignment to cover events in Afghanistan and Deb volunteers to babysit his cat and house sit his loft in Downtown Los Angeles.
As a girl from San Fernando Valley, she must adjust to the hustling fast lifestyle of Downtown Los Angeles with bars, night clubs and life in studio apartments. She eventually befriends a neighbor named Cookie (played by Haaz Slieman), who loves the promiscuous lifestyle.
