The series takes place from November 1963 to August 1966.
The show is not shown in reruns or on media because the producers failed to get future use rights for many of the songs used. Networks would have to renegotiate the rights in order to show reruns. DVD's were not in wide use and not addressed at all. They were forced to stop production after releasing season one on DVD.
Brittany Snow and Vanessa Lengies performed a cover and music video of "My Boyfriend's Back" on the set of American Bandstand which was never aired. Their cover can be heard at various times throughout Season 1. The video appears as a DVD Extra for Season 1.
Was one of a number of NBC dramas from the 2000's the started of with high ratings, great reviews, and much fanfare only to drop in the ratings and lose its appeal, getting cancelled after only a couple seasons. Fellow series Heroes, Las Vegas, and Boomtown also followed a similar pattern.
