Sex & Nudity

  • A man is shown laying on his stomach naked, his behind is briefly shown.
  • Paul and Cristina are shown having sex. We see her breasts. He goes down to eat her. We see her breasts and his butt the next morning.
  • Jack and Marianne are shown preparing to have sex on a dresser. They are clothed but the scene is explicit.
  • We see a man squeezing a woman's (clothed) breasts.
  • Paul is provided with gloves and a cup in a fertility clinic; he is then handed porn magazines and a brief, but explicit, porn scene is shown on TV for him.
  • A man and a woman are lying on bed in the beginning of the movie and one of the breast of the woman is shown as she is lying on the bed.

Violence & Gore

  • One man gets shot and bleeds all over the place. A lot of blood is shown later on including on the clothes and hands of the character who tried to help him.
  • There is also a physical attack where a woman beats a man with a lamp.
  • The aftermath of a bad car accident is shown with bodies covered with blood-stained white sheets.
  • A man steps on broken glass and his bloody foot is shown.
  • A man heats a knife and cuts into his skin with it.
  • A man hangs himself, starts gagging and gasping for air when he falls down and is saved.
  • A man forces his son to hit his sister's "other" arm after she complains about getting hit (citing Jesus's "turn the other cheek"). He later strikes the son a couple of times in the head.

Profanity

  • 'Sh*t' is said nine times.
  • 'D*mn' is said nine times.
  • The Lord's name is taken in vain, including 'God' said eight times and 'Jesus Christ' said once.
  • 'B*tch' is said once.
  • 'H*ll' is said once.
  • 'B*stard' is said twice.
  • '*ss' is said five times.
  • 'Godd*mn' is said four times.
  • Word 'F*ck' was used.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Marianna and Ana smoke cigarettes.
  • Cristina tries to drive when she is drunk.
  • Cristina smokes cigarettes. She snorts coke and takes pills while she is in a narcotics group.
  • Various characters drink and smoke. Paul smokes cigarettes while he is on oxygen and a transplant patient.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The climax is very chaotic and intense.
  • A gun is shown in several scenes.
  • The little girls' mother's reaction to their death, going back to the house, washing their bloody clothes and looking at their room are emotionally intense and can seriously disturb some viewers.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Two little girls die in an accident and even though we do not see the accident or the bodies, we see them laying on the street covered with blood-stained white sheets.
  • A man threatens another man with a gun, forcing him to kneel and then shoots. We later find out that he shot the ground, not the man.
