Something shockingly new.

Warning: Spoilers
This is an interesting movie, to say the least about it. Interesting in the sense that it daringly touches more than one taboo subjects. At least one of them is probably never touched in the whole history of Hindi film industry. Not that I'm going to tell it here to the prospective viewer because more than being a single spoiler, this point of the film is like a pivotal point of its story. As for the original story of the movie, it's a fine little short story by Manoj Das, a very good writer from the state of Orissa. Of course, the dialogue writers, one of them is the movie director A. K. Bir himself, have not done justice to the original story. In other words, the film is badly written and at times weakly acted in by certain members of the acting crew but than it is beautifully shot and edited. The locations of the films shot on are the best choices, undoubtedly. The film is better than most of the churn of the mill kind of Hindi movies made in the country today. Once again, it seems that vast and varied Indian literature is neglected by the movie makers of India. This may not be a must watch movie but if you come across it, watch it, you will never regret watching it, that's for sure.

The most disgusting movie ever made

This film is a glaring example of all that has been wrong with the Hindi 'art-cinema' movement. In an effort to shock and being different, this movie crosses all limits of decency and ends up as a SICK and DISGUSTING watch.A section of the festival circuit intelligentsia might see metaphors and visceral social commentary in this depraved tale, but in my view they would just need to get their minds checked. And fast. No one in their right mind could have even thought of making a movie on this story. Had anyone bought a ticket to this, they would have bought a ticket to hell. Film-makers should understand that their privilege comes with a responsibility too.

Do yourself a favor. Stay away. As much away as possible.
