The Tenant
Insane_Man2 December 2021
The landlord has an emergency to sell their rental house where the tenant determined not to leave.

I am a fan of Sunil Shetty. So I watched it. It's a nostalgic movie for me. When I was in class 9, this movie was released. The songs are good. The comedies are also very good, laughing. The movie itself has many problems. An average one-time watch flick.

Mahima did a very good acting. She was very natural. Sunil Shetty was well. Paresh Rawal, Saurav Shukla, Asrani, Sanjay Narvekar were wasted.

Recommended 40%.

Interesting premise for a comedy
Pro Jury22 April 2003
YEH TERAA GHAR YEH MERAA GHAR offers a very interesting premise for a Hindi-pop musical-comedy: A young Indian beauty, Mahima Chaudhry, uses strong tenant laws to eventually take away the property she rents from the owner who had worked long and hard to build the property and offer it for rent.

Chaudhry thrives as she sings, dances, and plays the bad girl to the hilt. Most interesting.

Excellent movie
ashfiquzzoha3 November 2017
The movie is really very good. The story is outstanding . I liked it very much. I think this movie has every part of a good movie. It is a great movie to pass your time. Yeh Teraa Ghar Yeh Meraa Ghar (Hindi: ये तेरा घर ये मेरा घर; English: This is your house, this is my house) is a 2001 Indian film directed by Priyadarshan. This story of the film is an adaptation of the Mohanlal starrer movie Sanmanassullavarkku Samadhanam. The film stars Sunil Shetty, Mahima Chaudhry and Paresh Rawal.

Underrated
jaysshukla31 July 2022
It is a very underrated movie. The build up was good, the foreshadowing was outstanding, some good comedy as well. Few scenes would give you Hera Pheri or De dana dan vibes. One thing I like about the Priyadarshan movies is that he keeps things very simple and doesn't exaggerate anything. I don't care if his movies are south remakes. Back in those days, we only had access to Hindi movies and few Hollywood movies. One would have to dig a lot to access the regional cinemas back in 90s or 2000s.

Despite most of the songs being completely different from the storyline, they don't feel misplaced at all. In fact, I really enjoyed the movie's soundtrack.

The movie did have few shortcomings. Somewhere you would feel the movie drags a lot and takes it's time to resolve things. Moreover, after the movie ended I kept wondering about few characters' fates. They were somehow significant but didn't show up at all during climax or pre-climax.

not as good as hera pheri

the movie starts out well , makes you laugh many times but suddenly gets serious and sentimental towards the end. very good comedy acting by sunil shetty and paresh rawal. Mahima is not that good in a deglamorised role and playing a maharashtrian brahmin does not suit her especially with her heavy Delhi accent. songs are decent. overall a good time pass. the movie could have been better.
