the noble hero
Kirpianuscus28 December 2022
One of Soviet films reflecting the courage of heroes , the virtues of leader, the wisdome and tenacity being the first, and the noble actions against invaders, alliances, birth of Lviv and policy about inner enemies.

It is real difficult to define it more than a patriotic manifesto, obvious, a beautiful crafted one, seductive, well acted, energetic, exploring, in Romantic manner the past.

Today, maybe, it works as proper Ukrainean manifesto , reminding the model of past resistence and proposing models.

The portrait of knyaz Daniil is one of basic virtues of film, like the effort to propose interesting Mongol portraits.

The result, it is , maybe, a film with precise target, in same measure than a good tool for understand the sensibilities of a political period.
