A light side of European films
cmmescalona17 September 2006
This is a Swedish film reminiscent of the ordeals of childhood already depicted in Mit liv söm Hund and some others. Tsatsiki is in the middle of a continued battle between love and misunderstanding. A young boy that needs contact with those around him, but who never gets what he deserves. Inventive, delicate and sometimes difficult, this film is an open page to write in with your past. Even when many things turn out wrong for Tstatsiki, hope never dies and, in the end, it's hope what drives the film. All the characters are believable, definitely well portrayed and carefully picked. The turns and twists of fate for Tsatsiki are as real as they can get, because they are the twists of life. Seen from the eyes of a young kid, make everything more believable. Anyway, this is not a "common" family, but one of the many functional-dysfunctional new phenomenons that try to convey the sense of possibility even in dire straits. A film for the family.
