Slim will go to great lengths to become a reporter!
planktonrules18 July 2018
This is one of eight comedy shorts that Gil Lamb made for RKO. In each, he plays 'Slim'...a likable doofus.

The story begins in a building where the Evening Record newspaper is produced. Slim is just a window washer there but has visions of becoming a reporter. So, he decides to impress the boss by trying to get an interview with the rich recluse, Mr. Bigelow. However, Bigelow's butler is not about to allow a reporter in the house...and literally tosses Slim out the door. But when Slim sees a nurse quit working there, he comes back in drag and lands the job. But it turns out that there are strange things afoot there....ghosts or something that are trying to drive folks away. What could it be? And, is Slim up to the case?

While I would not say "Ghost Buster" is a laugh-filled comedy, it is pleasant and entertaining. Worth seeing if you like old time comedies....just don't expect too much of it.
