an incomplete analysis of the horror boogeyman genre
baumer21 January 2002
I was actually quite pleased to receive this DVD for Christmas. I had seen this one in the store and had desired to purchase it but for one reason or another passed on it. And to be quite honest I am glad I didn't pay for this myself. As much of a horror fan that I am, I was pleased with some of the elements of this compilation but on the whole I would have to say that there are more disappointments that triumphs in this project.

The DVD includes some excellent features such as Robert Englund providing some very insightful commentary concerning behind the scenes production notes. One rather interesting tidbit that I learned was upside down set that was manufactured for the famous scene in Nightmare On Elm Street where Rod watches Freddy slice Tina open and she is dragged to the ceiling and then dropped( the same effect was used when Glen was pulled down into his bed and blood sprays onto the ceiling. This is told to us by Wes Craven in the Nightmare On Elm Street Platinum series on DVD, an excellent purchase), spraying blood all over Rod. Another interesting and informative piece was when Englund began explaining the problems that Freddy VS. Jason was having coming to fruition.

So I guess what it comes down to is that if you have seen the DVD version of this, then it is somewhat worth the money that you are spending. But the VHS version does not contain Englund's commentary nor does it have some of the other extras. Therefore it may not be worth buying. Other problems I have with the compilation is some of the clips they chose. While there are excellent scenes involving Pinhead and Andy Robinson from Hellraiser, Leatherface and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Englund's own Nightmare On Elm Street and even some of Carpenter's Halloween, the video really drops the ball on films like Friday the 13th and Scream. I could think of perhaps 2 dozen scenes from the first four Fridays that were more worthy that the one they chose from the Final Friday, Jason Goes To Hell. For example, how about Teddy getting nailed with a corkscrew in the hand and then a machete to the face in the Final Chapter? Or how about again in the Final Chapter when Tommy ( and a huge assist to Rick Baker and Tom Savini ) whacks Jason with a machete to the side of the head and he falls face first into that machete, destroying his mug for future sequels? There is also the guy walking on his hands in part Three, the harpoon to the eye in part Three, hangings in part Two and of course the Mrs. Voorhees beheading in Part One. There was all of these pernicious and fatal acts to choose from and they chose what they did from the last and perhaps worst Friday? They didn't even show Jason dying. And that is a shame. As for some of the other films, I wouldn't go so far as to say that I Know.... and The Leprechaun and Candyman should be included in this compilation. How about An American Werewolf In London, or some of the other classic cheese films from the 70's and 80's like The Beast Within, Last House on the Left, The Mutilator, The Prey or The Town That Dreaded Sundown. All of these films offered some realistic and disgusting gore and yet they were ignored. Why?

Boogeymen is a treat to watch for some of the insight offered by Englund and because of some of the scenes for some of the movies, but on a whole it is quite a disappointment. And that is frustrating because there is a plethora of clips they could have included.

Really cool!

At only an hour, this isn't the best compilation DVD they could possibly come up with, but I liked it a lot. I've been a little out of touch with horror movies recently, so it was nice to watch clips from all these famous horror movies to get me back on the ball. There are some very gruesome clips, some are downright sickening, but that's the fun of it. I loved the Robert Englund commentary--he had some very interesting things to say, and seemed to be at least somewhat oriented with every horror director, writer and actor featured. Plus, he has a fine sense of humor. The easter egg was really nice. I haven't seen "Jack Frost," and am only familiar with it through the trailer. It seems like a really cheesy flick, but boy does that babe look great naked. You can't have a cheesy horror flick without a lil' bit of gratuitous nudity, that's my motto. My impression after the clips were over was, "That's it?" But hopefully, they'll sooner or later come up with a "Boogeymen 2" DVD. If they do, I really look forward to it. And I love the song "I'm Your Boogeyman" by Rob Zombie (back then, White Zombie), which was featured in the opening and closing credits. Horror fans will probably love it. Others will be genuinely disgusted and will probably wanna stay away. Not for the squeamish or faint of heart.

My score: 7 (out of 10)

Well-made compilation
duce12222 July 2004
Boogeymen: The Killer Compilation (2001) C-56 min. Well-made compilation of some of the most frightening movie slashers of our time. From Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees, and Freddy Krueger to Pinhead, Chucky, and Leatherface, this serves as a supplement to any horror/slasher fan's video collection. Unfortunately, some of the scenes they chose were not the best (there were far bloodier and scarier scenes in the Friday the 13th series than the one they chose from JASON GOES TO HELL) and they left out a few of the classic slashers (Santa Claus killer from SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT, Jack Frost, the Thomas Sinclair/Bryan Lawson brother/killer duo from the GLENVILLE films, the URBAN LEGEND killers, etc). But the `film' is more than adequate and provided me with a list of horror movies on my `must-see' list. Commentary on the DVD edition is done by none other than Robert Englund. RATING: 6 out of 10.

nice way to kill an hour

This is a cool little DVD that's great for a rental and will be amusing to horror-buffs as well as people who aren't very familiar with the genre. It contains several highlight scenes from such classics as "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (which happens to be one of my favorite scenes from any movie ever), "Phantasm", "Child's Play 2", and of course there's a couple of scenes featuring Jason and Freddy. What confuses me is why the people who put this together felt that adding in scenes from lesser known titles such as "The Dentist", "Wishmaster", and the great little hidden "Jack Frost 2" was a good idea. I didn't care for "Wishmaster" one bit and "The Dentist" was about as wretched as they come (that's my opinion anyway). Personally, I would've rather had some old classics ("Wolfman", "Frankenstein", "Pumpkinhead") instead, but then again, this still makes for a very entertaining watch and at only 58 mins, it's mostly time well spent.

Oh, and I almost forgot about that scene from "The Guardian". I've never seen that one, but I guess I will have to catch it now. That scene was awesome.

It was meant as a gift to horror fans, but wasn't that good
Smells_Like_Cheese24 May 2002
I mean, over all, they really can't go wrong with some of the classic horror movies: Halloween, Hellraiser, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Psycho. But they didn't show the best clips and some movies, you were either "I didn't see that" or "Huh, why did they put that in there?" They also missed some great classic horror movies, such as Jaws, The Exorcist, and Silence of the Lambs. I know that those aren't considered in some ways to be Boogeymen, but I think this was more of a tribute to horror movies. Also, they showed the worst clip of the Friday the 13th series, I thought they should have shown the 6th one where Jason slams the person in a sleeping bag against a tree, that was classic and terrifying.

This wasn't too bad, but I mean, who really had heard of "The Guardian", "The Ugly", and not too many knew about "The Dentist". If you want to see this, I'd recommend the DVD, it has great commentary by Freddy Krueger, or as true horror fans know him as Robert Englund. It has trivia and trailers, and is must see for horror fans.

A Good Compilation Film
donnaplus3-9-3361047 April 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This Is A Good Film But Not Good Enough. Their Could Have Been A Few Changes Including The Scene From The Dentist (1996) I Dislike. Their Should Have Been A Scene From The First Child's Play (1988) Instead Of Child's Play 2 Chucky's Back (1990). The Scene From Phantasm (1979) I Dislike. The Scene From Friday The 13th Part 9 Jason Goes To Hell The Final Friday (1993) Should Have Been A Scene From Friday The 13th Part 3 (1982). And Last But Not Least The Scene From The Guardian (1990) I Mean I Don't Mind That Scene But It Should Have Been A Male Because When This Compilation Says Boogeymen I Doesn't Say Boogeywomen This Is The Only Female In The Compilation. Now What Males Could Have Replaced The Killers I Disliked Dr. Hannibal Lecter Could Have Replaced Dr. Alan Feinstone. Maybe Jaws Could Have Replaced Camilla The Only Female. Captain Howdy From Strangeland (1998) Could Have Replaced The Tall Man. Other Then All That Everything Else In This Compilation Is Alright. From Brandon DeVore.

I'm Proud of this!
tequila10120 February 2011
When I was a kid, I saw this in the video store every time wondering what the hell this was about. I used to think that it would be all about these icons fighting each other and then only one surviving. Boy, I was wrong about that. Instead it turns out to be a compilation of 17 famous slashers, hackers, etc (do I need to say more!?).

When I picked it up last year, I thought well it's a compilation and it's gonna suck! Once again, I was freakin wrong! All I'm going to say is when I watched this DVD, it inspired me to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Leprechaun, Halloween, The Dentist, Psycho, Hellrasier, Wishmaster, Scream & I Know what you did Last Summer. For me it was really inspiring because I had never heard nor never seen most of them before.

It was at that stage where I only liked Chucky, Freddy & Jason and I never really wanted anything else to do with Horror. These days, it's now changed. I'm really glad I watched this, and now own the DVD because now I can remember all of the good times watching Leatherface or Michael Myers in action on the screen for the first time.

I will have to admit that some of those other characters didn't look that interesting but oh well.

I will say that if you haven't seen this yet, you should definitely go to your video store right now and borrow it and if you can ever buy it for under $6.00, I suggest you swipe it. It inspires you to watch Icons that you've never seen before on the screen. I loved it because it inspired me to get into horror more.

One more thing, the bonus features are fun and you might want to give that a try as well as some trailers that you might not have seen.

Rip-off!
robrem213 November 2001
I have to admit that the concept of a compelation DVD is a very good one. However, I paid $22 for this movie, not realizing that it is only FIFTY-EIGHT minutes long. This thing was over before I knew it. Granted, the clips included are the best, but the makers could have included more than one clip from each film. My recommendation is to RENT the "movie" for 3 dollars- it is not worth purchasing. Next Halloween, give it a look. It's a nice, QUICK thrill.

Not bad
matthew0083-13 September 2008
I got this DVD in a Wal-Mart super pack when I bought Land of the Dead. It's a hour long DVD with clips of a bunch of both recent and older horror films. In my opinion this isn't too bad and it actually convinced me to get some of these films. The way they do each of the clips is well done. Personally I say if you see this DVD for like $10 I say go for it. It's not worth anymore than that. The DVD extras are also to be admired to some degree. It's not worth the value of a full retail DVD but it's still fun to watch. When I have nothing to do or anything to watch I usually put this in. So in conclusion, you want a new DVD but you only want to pay $10 or less for it I say pick this up.

Lame attempt at promoting old horror films.
drider198013 October 2001
I kept getting goosebumps and chills up my spine as I saw these infamous boogeymen terrorize their victims in perhaps what was one of the best "work" of their "career" (best kill scene).

But I don't need this stupid Boogeymen Compilation if it just offers me all those scenes in one hour.

I would most rather just watch all these movies in a week.

This is an utterly disappointing "special"...I expected a documentary on these films.

The DVD extras are so-so. The interactive game "Name that Frame!" gets dull. The Boogeymen profiles "The Legend of..." is so-so.

While reading the credits for each film clips, i noticed one for Jack Frost 2. Where's that one? Eh?

They also make some bad choices. They picked William Friedkin's The Guardian over William Friedkin's The Exorcist........

They chose The Dentist and chose something that probably many people have never heard of - The Ugly.

Of course they have all of our favorite Boogymen on like Jason, Freddy, Michael.

But once again...I'll just stick to watching the movies from start to end than watch this worthless piece of trash.

Like the other reviewer said, just read the list of films on the back and rent them. Seeing one scene from each 17 movies in a hour - is NOT a great way to save money. Sheesh.

This just ends up to be some kind of a lame advertisement for old horror films just to get you to rent or buy the others.

Steer clear...it's not worth it.

Exclusively for fans of the Slasher sub-genre. Otherwise, avoid it.
insomniac_rod3 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Decent compilation of popular Slasher flicks mostly from the 80's and 90's. The movie offers more than expected. It's a compilation for fans , only fans. The running time is adequate and so the rest of the features. This is a DVD to own if you are into Slashers.

Well we have Halloween, A Nightmare On Elm Street, Jason Goes To Hell, The Guardian, Leprechaun, etc. You know the rest of them.

What it really deserves mention are the DVD options including the Trivia, Excellent interviews and commentaries, and the "fun" game of guessing what movie scene is displayed on the screen.

The information given for each Boogeyman is decent and makes you know them better. Sure, many boogeymen were left out of this compilation but the ones who made the list are accurate and deliver.

Watch this movie if you are a fan of Slashers flicks, if not, avoid it! You might not like it otherwise.

Mixed bags of goods
nmp38121 January 2002
This compilation of horror movies had pro and cons. The video had some excellent trailers and clips from Hellraiser, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, Psycho, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Dentist(more comedic than horror, yet had excellent scenes) and an unknown horror movie called the Ugly. I was very disappointed in the inclusion of Leprauchan, Child's Play 2, and Friday the 13th:Jason goes to Hell. They should have included a scene from an earlier Friday flick. They also did not show all trailers for all the movies shown(most notably NOES, and Psycho). Also missing was Night of the Living Dead, the Shining, and the Exorcist. I did like that they previewed some lesser known horror movies, that looked really good, however I have some doubts to put those in a 'best of horror compilation'.

Leaping Leprechauns
Brassknuckle Sandwich12 November 2001
Wow! That's all I can say about the new Boogeymen DVD, roughly 50 something minutes of footage culled from various horror movies of the past, despite the "Over 3 hours of Entertainment" proudly displayed on the box.

Of course, 2 hrs. of this is comprised of a brain dead trivia game, which, when played on a DVD player not attached to your computer, is as much fun as a trip to Corbin Bersen's "Dentist".

A movie that had the potential to be an excellent documetary, along with the requisite footage, instead becomes a tacky, hour-long display of movie trailer material with a little gore thrown in to keep the viewer from slipping into a coma before the DVD runs out.

I found myself fast forwarding through a large number of the scenes, including the one with Warwick Davis on a pogo stick. I consider Leprechaun to be up there in pantheon of horror movie villians right alongside bad guys from the Scooby Doo cartoon series (which is infinitely more watchable). Of course, to keep it "hip", I get treated to a scene from a film that I avoided like Medieval peasants avoided the Black Plague, the Mrs. Gordon's fisherman from "I Know What you Did Last Summer."

If I could rate this com-pile-ation any lower than a 1, I would do so without hesitation, but will grant it a 1 on the basis that it will make a nice beer coaster while I'm kicking back to watch one of my Argento flicks.

jaywolfenstien2 December 2003
I dunno if I can see the fanbase for this. On one hand you have nitpicky hardcore horror obsessives who will object to every other choice of scenes found on this compilation (and, btw, already own 90% of the films shown) and on the other hand you have people mildly interested in horror who may rent this to check out some of the horror monsters. But who would purchase it when for the same price you can get one of the films in its entirety?

The DVD does make for a nice rental for horror fans interested in behind the scenes trivia and such. Personally, the sole reason I rented this was for Robert Englund's running commentary. He shares a few interesting tidbits which was nice since a lot of horror DVDs seem to lack any kind of commentary whatsoever. As cool as it was having Englund share his thoughts, I think this DVD could have been a lot better if they assembled a few horror icons together. Maybe Craven, Carpenter, Hodder, Todd, Scrimm, Bradley, Savini, or Dourif? I wouldn't mind listening to multiple commentary tracks or even hearing a group commentary.

Oh well, I don't see the point of renting the VHS version; however, the DVD one does offer trivia, bonuses, and commentary by the great Robert Englund. With all that though, it's just a rental for me.

Overall a majority of the clips are wonderful chase scenes from the classics we've come to appreciate
gimmemore103 October 2008
Here are the list of the clips that are played:

Clive Barker's Hellraiser, A nightmare on Elm Street, The Texas chainsaw massacre (1974), Scream, Child's play 2, Candyman, Leprechaun, The ugly Wishmaster, The guardian, I know what you did last summer, The dentist, Phantasm II, The puppetmaster, Psycho, Jason goes to hell: The final Friday, Halloween

What is this?

A video tape/DVD that contains clips of your favorite slasher films that were nearly about 4 minutes.

Movie review:

Overall a majority like 70% of the clips are very well-made and still creepy taken from various recognized slasher flicks. I think the creepiest are Halloween and The Texas chainsaw massacre (1974). The reason is because those are both things that can actually happen. Without gore or blood the brain is the scariest and that is what makes these films stand out. Some of the films like 30% however are just ridiculous and are very stupid. Including Leprechaun and The puppetmaster. God those are awful. Leprechaun is stupid because he's a short midget and you can kill him in a second. At least Leprechaun was funny and playful but puppetmaster was just stupid and almost all the puppets look fake. Despite that prepare to be scared. This a must own for any horror fan.

17 of the best...
ajmayowski30 March 2003
This movie is a MUST HAVE for any horror fan. It takes us on a trip to watcvh the 17 best scenes from the 17 best boogeymen, including an Easter Egg featuring Jack Frost. So, why were these boogeymen picked?

Every one has a reason, I suppose. But, what about Hannibal? or that creepy girl from the Ring? or the Creeper? All three of those should be in Boogeymen 2. As a matter of fact, some of the new Boogeymen are from films lke the Ring that weren't released yet.

So... What are the biggest questions on this film?

Q: Why was Jason Goes to Hell the Jason selection? A: Simple. It showed you Jason. I don't believe every Friday the 13th movie does that until the end, does it? Well, yes, there were a million better Friday scenes, but, on the other hand, it showed Jason in his present form.

Q: Why wasn't the Exorcist on there? Or the Shining? A: Boogeymen. Not Scary Movies. There is no Boogeymen in the Exorcist, is there? And the Shining? Maybe with a sequel. Or a suitable kill scene. There are neither. Maybe... Boogeymen 2 for the Shining, but leave the Exorcist out.

Q: Why wasn't Hannibal on there? Or the Creeper? A: Although this may appear to be basically the same question as the one above, it is not. Both of these boogeymen deserve to be on Boogeymen, and maybe they'll be on B2.

Q: Why was Jack Frost an Easter Egg? A: Why was he even on there? Personally, I'd prefer The Creeper, but he's an Easter Egg probably because of the nudity? I can't really answer that.

Q: What is The Ugly? A: It's a bit of a Foreign film, but before you scoff, it is really a good movie, even if Hannibal deserved that spot more. I'd reccomend renting it, because it will remind some viewers of Hitchcock type Psychological thrillers. Not a bad movie.

Q: Has Boogeymen 2 been announced? A: Not that I know of, but it did say "Vol. 1" On the side, didn't it. Go ahead, pick up your copy, look at the side- ah! NOW you see!

Q: What can we expect from Boogeymen 2? A: I have no clue. Either it will be just new scenes from the previous Boogeymen, All new Boogeymen, or a mix of both. We could see Jeepers Creepers, Hannibal, or Children of the Corn. I'd say all are a possibility.

Q: How much does this movie go for? A: It's 20 bucks on DVD. And buy it on DVD. There's a plethora of special features that you don't want to miss. I don't know about VHS.

Q: Camilla? What's she doing here? A: I don't know. The movie wasn't all that great, and there's not even a sequel for it. The Ugly doesn't have one either, but it's really a good movie. I'd say it's there because it's the only Boogeywoman (cough Ring cough) that was out at the time. Note: The Ring wasn't out at the time.

Could have been something cool
raif25 February 2002
When I heard about the release of this DVD I got real excited as did most other horror fans. Who could resist a film with all the coolest badguys in it simply killing their poor victims from their movies? Well their choice of some of the characters was questionable. Another problem I had with it was the sequel factor. They showed some great characters from their worst sequels. The less than an hour also was a little disappointing. The trivia was fun for the first ten minutes but then got a little old. this film was a great idea that was rushed and wasn't carefully planned out.

You must see this DVD!
jsolar3 October 2001
Horror films have been a very taboo film genre ever since their mainstream acceptance in the late 70s and 80s. Unfortunately horror films, moreso than other film types, suffer from "sophomore death", where follow-ups seem to write the epitath on an original great film's tombstone. The question now is "How can I sift through all the garbage to find the gold?" The answer is on Boogeymen.

This "greatest hits" of horror films collection has it all. No longer do you have to watch 10 films to get to one remotely decent movie. You can get Boogeymen and find the cream of the crop all on one disc. Horror figureheads such as Pinhead (Hellraiser), Leatherface (The Texas Chainsaw Masssacre), Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th), Michael Myers (Halloween), and just about every other Godfather of the genre are explained in gruesome detail along with clips of their handiwork.

For those of you who already have their foot in the door when it comes to horror films, Boogeymen didn't forget about you. Interactive games such as "Name This Frame" and animated trivia keep your interest and keep you guessing. And for those of you 'Nightmare on Elm Street' zealots, audio commentary by Freddy himself (Robert Englund) will keep you on the edge of your seat while he offers his perspectives and facts about everything that catches your eye.

Whether you're new to the genre of horror films or an old hand, Boogeymen will keep you entertained with hours of interactivity and entertainment. If this can't satisfy your hunger for the gruesome and horrific, nothing will.

Boogeymen: The Killer Compilation
jboothmillard31 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I am obviously a big fan of horror films, and there is nothing I like better than a good psychotic, demonic, stalking and killing boogeyman. This special DVD (with optional Trivia facts and commentary from Robert Englund, aka, Freddy Kreuger) is a compilation of some of the greatest boogeymen from the last 40 years of horror films. It consists of 17 moments of archive footage, all with the specific boogeyman. First the narrator gives the name of the boogeyman, the film he/she appears in, then some short facts about them, and then we see their evil work. The boogeymen that appear on this compilation are: Pinhead from Hellraiser (Doug Bradley), Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street (Robert Englund), Wishmaster/ The Djinn from Wishmaster (Andrew Divoff, Leatherface from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (Gunnar Hansen), Ghostface from Scream (Dane Farwell, voiced by Roger Jackson), Leprechaun (Warwick Davis), Chucky from the Child's Play series (voiced by Brad Dourif), Candyman (Tony Todd), The Fisherman from I Know What You Did Last Summer (Muse Watson), Camilla from The Guardian (Jenny Seagrove), Dr. Alan Feinstone from The Dentist (Corbin Bernse), Simon from The Ugly (Paolo Rotondo), The Tall Man from Phantasm (Angus Scrimm), Blade from The Puppet Master (voiced by Bert Rosario), Norman Bates from Psycho (Anthony Perkins), Jason Voorhees from Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday (Kane Hodder) and Michael Myers from Halloween (Tony Moran), also if you can find it, there is Jack Frost (voiced by Scott MacDonald). Very good!

A piece of crap and a waste of 58 min.
krkptr123 July 2002
Boogeymen is nothing more than an over-marketed informational piece of nonsense. And not even a good piece of informative garbage. It reveals nothing about any of the proclaimed "Boogeymen" that isn't already obvious. Example: Freddy Krueger - Stalks his victims in their dreams. Wears a glove with knives for fingers. Or; Chucky - A Killer Doll!!!

All Boogeymen is is a poorly construed mish-mash of clips from various horror movies. Even most of the clips were a disapointment. Bottom line: Don't waste your time, go and rent the real thing.

Great horror classics!
Reel_entertainment10 October 2001
If you love horror movies, or like thrills, you must check this out! It's a highlight of 17 modern horror classics from Jason Vorhees all the way to the more recent Simon from the movie "The Ugly". Also on the video are little tidbits of info regarding the movie. The dvd is worth the extra $$...on it, you can play an interactive game on naming scenes from movies, watch movie trailers, & more. It's alot of fun!

Do You Like Scary Movies?
BHorrorWriter31 December 2001
Well, I finally bought this compilation. I must say, it isn't anything too spectacular or overly fantastic, but it is a nice piece of horror memorabilia. I would really have liked this to be a little longer, with more film facts sequences. I would have liked to know alot more than was presented. Still, the games are cool, and the Easter Egg is a nice touch...

Just in case you didn't notice...
horrorzone8 September 2002
While watching the end credits on the DVD, you'll notice the credits for Jack Frost 2. From the disc's main menu, go to 'Flixmix Recommendations.' On this screen you see menu entries for trailers for 'American Pie 2' and 'The Mummy Returns.' If you press the 'Right' arrow key on your remote control however, an icon appears, and if you hit 'Enter' now, you will get the chance to see a clip from 'Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman,'. A must see!

As far as Boogeymen is concerned, being a 20 year plus horror fan I was a bit let down by the compilation. Flixmix boasts "Nothing but the good stuff!", but one could debate that after seeing the selections of not only some of the films, but some of the clips they chose from the film. Most of the time, they didn't include the classic scenes from the films, just secondary scenes. Nothing but the good stuff...whatever. It's not a bad disc if you a throwing a Halloween party and want a video mix, otherwise it'll be on your coffee table as a coaster within months. The Flixmix animated trivia is often incorrect, and the commentary by Rober Englund (who I love) is dull and uninspiring. The DVD-Rom features are hardly anything to write home about, but none really ever are. Other than that, you get some selected trailers, a lame Name That Frame game, and Legends Of The Boogeymen text (also filled with mistakes). A great concept fell short. Not for the hardcore horror fans, as we've seen this all before ... but with the good stuff!
