One Yesilcam Classic

Another superb film from Adile Nasit and Münir Özkul. In 1970s with, small changes in cast, so impressing film was made.this movie is one of them. Muhir Özkul showed his best performance in this film. And he shows what a father mean for his family. managing the family, taking control of uncontrolled events and so ...

Differance between rich and poor people is investigated from poor side mostly. Aile Serefi (Honor of a Family) gives clues about Turks' family, honor, respect beliefs.

I have some words for Itir Esen. For just her, this movie must be watched. Take care of her films; Bizim Aile (1975), Aile Serefi (1976), Gulen Gozler (1977), Cennetin Cocuklari (1977). So bad for us that she did not make more films.

An immortal masterpiece

A masterpiece of the early Turkish drama generation, with dozens of epic scenes waking a range of emotions in viewer. A cultural exhibit of famial drama, a poor mans struggle to sustain a honorable household, even if odds are stacked against them. With relatable situations and meaningful lines of dialogue, the movie delivers both joy and sadness with a tragic number of events leading up to a relieving conclusion. The soundtrack is also amazing.

A classic from a magical period in Turkish cinema, which we all know and love.

-"but.. but why?" -"for honor of my family."

Emotional rollercoaster.

This is easily one of the most bitter sweet movies I have ever seen. Tears from joy and sadness are unstoppable and mix while you are watching. The actors/characters in the poor family are so genuine, you feel like a part of it instantly. Very highly recommended even if you aren't Turkish. Just place is in the time concept of the 70's and enjoy the ride. Fasten your emotional seatbelt.
