Great Show

I really like this show. Not only does it include the ghost stories, but it is very educational. It tells the stories of the people who haunt the cities they talk about, and about the encounters with the ghosts or paranormal activity. It is a very interesting show. And the ghosts are very realistic. 10/10

An Honest Review

It is leaps and bounds above the 2013 series...and mainly because of John Glover who has the absolute creepiest narration I have ever heard in a documentary since Jean Simmons fro "Mysteries of the Bible."

And then it has the edge on the 2013 rendition because of the locations, it covered more and the stories were better. And, again, coupled with John Glover's creepy narration and it can send a serious chill down your spine that the ghost hunting shows of today could only hope for.

It's spooky as all get out and well worth viewing...especially on Halloween

Narration

Warning: Spoilers
This series runs (or at least ran) on The History Channel. What really made it interesting was John Glover's narration. Glover tells a story extremely well ... and did a very good job of teasing the next story going into commercial break, keeping an audience around.

Several episodes stand out: his tours of Washington, D.C., Chicago and Philadelphia (I love history to begin with). There was another episode in which he related the true story behind the Clint Eastwood film "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil," which I didn't know was a true story when I saw it.

Also, the episodes are well researched, and the telling of folklore is definitely part of history. Just about every community has tales of legends and folklore, and even if the stories aren't true, it's still a way to get people interested in history that might not be.
