A good introduction to the series for those who have missed the first two seasons
Tweekums2 October 2012
It is unlikely that anybody watching this feature won't have already seen the entire series but even so it provides an interesting recap of the opening two seasons in a way that introduces the key characters without including many major spoilers; what spoilers there are relate to problems encountered in season two but don't show us how or if they are resolved.

Not surprisingly much of the feature is made up of clips; these are presented by actors Ben Browder and Claudia Black; while they are out of character there is some obviously scripted but fun banter between them. They introduce their characters; Astronaut John Crichton and former Peacekeeper Officer Aeryn Sun as well as telling us about the other passengers on Moya; Zhaan, D'Argo, Chiana and Rygel and their primary enemies Captain Crais and Scorpius. This is done well so anybody who is starting the third season without seeing the first two will have a good idea what is going on. People who have watched the series can enjoy it as well of course as it shows us a series of well chosen clips that will remind them of those early parts of the series.

I don't imagine this will be broadcast again but it is included in the 'Farscape: The Definitive Collection' DVD boxed set amongst the many extras and is well worth watching.

Great Start point for new Viewers

The chemistry Ben and Claudia have hear comes through in the characters they portray as well. They have some of the best chemistry of any couple I have seen on screen for a long time. This will help thos new viewers to ccaught up on what Farscape is and about. Get it ,watch it, and tune into the new season in January of 2003 you won't regret when you realize you have just watch the best there is on TV. This show appeals to even non science fiction fans as well.

Brilliant Primer or condensing 2 years into an hour
TomRMD9 July 2001
My wife and I saw this previous to the intro of the 3rd season debut. Thanks to this primer, we were able to jump into the series without any confusion. There was another airing of this primer in Summer of 2001, but I am unsure if it was updated since the *last* viewing of 'Undressed'

"Undressed' should be a boilerplate for other long-running arc-driven series who want to capture new viewers.

Brilliant seeing this intro........

Enjoyed seeing real life characters, and would of enjoyed seeing some more real life folk from the show..... Great seeing so many flashbacks about the show, underestimated how good Season 3 is, just gets better and better....while in Scotland we are still waiting to see the start of Season 4..... Seems that Ben and Claudia have a good relationship on/off screen just like their Farscape characters!! Farscape rules !!

Great primer to a great series!

Hands down, Farscape is one of the best series on television. It's fitting that they also have a great primer to entertain old fans and bring in new viewers. Not coincidentally, this primer aired an hour before the third season premiere. Hosted by Ben Browder and Claudia Black, the primer features amazing clips from the first two seasons and explanations on the main characters. There is also a very awesome several minute recap of the last four episodes of season two. This primer has humor, charm and appeal. All an all, it was very excellent to watch.

Warning: Spoilers
This is indeed a great introduction to the series.

This documentary is obviously intended for those that are not yet familiar with the Farscape-series. Me, a faithful viewer, thought it was more interesting to see the interaction between Claudia Black and Ben Browder, than to see the clips from the series, although it was weird to see them out of character.

The thing that struck me the most about this documentary was the fact that they, again and again, talk about their characters (Aerun Sun and John Chrichton), in the 3rd person. This is obviously because anything else would be misleading, but still, the continous talk about "her" and "my character" makes me think they are saying it because some people might start to think that they are actually real. Ok, fair enough. There are a few people out there that might be crazy enough to think this, but for everyone else, I think that they will be a bit put off, when they have to face the fact that these are just actors.

Great actors! Brilliant! But there's a certain charm in the make-believe of this series. When they continiously state, and not very discreetly either, that they are just actors and nothing is real, it kinda takes the air out of the feelings behind the series. When people are in trouble you think, oh well, they are just actors, who cares. But anyway, thats just my view.
