A charming, dark humored story
Rodrigo_Amaro10 February 2024
After a frantic yet successful robbery, a bandit (Marcos Grossi) abandons his partner-in-crime (Marcelo Araújo) and get away with lots of money and drives to the countryside of São Paulo. In the exhaustion of it all, he decides to stop at a small local bar to get something to eat but nothing appeases his taste and he complains with the owner (Antônio Destro), who lives with his mother (Liana Duval). But in an odd twist the bar owner, who felt insulted by the robber's comments, decides to serve him food anyway, though not in the way one would expect.

Here's an amusing dark humored story where nothing is what appears, twists and turn come in a great succession with a revealing story about the ultimate forces of fate and how one's apparent success might be his downfall and to others less afortunate luck may smile in unexpected ways.

Director Eduardo Abab's only film was made for his film graduation, and it was greatly well-made and well-acted by a cast of young actors and the veteran Liana Duval, in her final film role (at the time of filming she was most memorable as Dona Ivete, the silent wheelchair-bound mother of Quitéria in the soap opera "A Próxima Vítima"). For a student project, this is highly commendable and you can also spot the making of on YouTube. 10/10.
