On 5 Dec 2001 Mother Angelica recruits Father Mitch Pacwa as the permanent guest host for her show. He fills in whenever her health precluded her from appearing. Mother Angelica Live show continued to run live under the same title throughout 2002 without her being in it. The live show was then replaced with other shows but EWTN continues regular re-runs of the original show to this day.
Around Christmas 1991 (in any case between 3 Dec 1991 and 14 Jan 1992) the studio where the show was recorded (featuring a painted a brick wall with plants) was renovated giving it a completely new look.
Following what some considered a scandalous World Youth Day '93 in Denver, Colorado (Catholic Church's world-wide event), Mother Angelica and her nuns return to wearing the traditional habits on Christmas Eve, 24 Dec 1993. Mother would continue to appear in the new habit in all her shows since then.
Around Easter of 12 April 1998 (in any case between 24 Mar 1998 and 19 May 1998 the studio where the show was recorded is renovated again giving it a new gothic-looking style.
Following her first stroke on 5 Sep 2001, Mother Angelica returns to taping her show twice a week on 25 Sep 2001. But after her second stroke on 24 Dec 2001 and deteriorated health she stops hosting her shows. Later in Dec 2002 she appears in a pre-taped segment on a live program saying Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
