Zodiac Fighters...Sharks in a kung fu film!!!

Zodiac Fighters, well where do i start. This is a 1970s kung fu film which is just loads of fun to watch.

I couldnt really explain the plot, you forget that as soon as you finished watching it, but there was some good stuff in it, then we got to the end 15 minutes, which have to be seen to be believed even in a fantasy crazy kung fu flick.

I dont want to ruin it , but it involves the villain, a sort of hi tech sedan chair and sharks, yes sharks in a kung fu film!!!

Some of the craziest scenes ever put to film follow, but its great, deserves to be seen more, find it and check it out.

7.5 shark bites out of 10.

Not even the Great Lieh Lo can save this film

This is one of those don't judge me for watching films. It's obvious it's one of those made for fun flicks. At least, I hope it was. If you need a break from reality and want a good laugh - THIS is the movie to watch. Bless Au Lap Bo and Lieh Lo for being in this farce. No explanation of this film is better than watching it.

Cheap and gaudy

Warning: Spoilers
ZODIAC FIGHTERS is an obscure, cheap, Taiwanese kung fu fantasy movie based around the twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac. The rag-tag storyline sees female fighter Polly Shang Kwan coming up against a ruthless warlord and into possession of a magical sword, but the main thrust of the narrative involves twelve fighters, each of whom are embodied by the spirit of one of the zodiac signs. Thus there's a silly rooster-costume guy, a monkey fighter, and the like. The action here is plentiful but very cheaply staged and the costumes are largely gaudy and rubbish-looking, factors which sap the film of its enjoyment factor even as a so-bad-it's-good picture. Lo Lieh appears in the final reel as his customary master villain, and he has the worst wig ever.

Pure strange

Warning: Spoilers
Known as Dragon Zombies Return and Zodiac Fighters, this movie is the kind of movie I just let wash over me.

Polly Shang Kuan Ling-Feng plays East Sea Dragon, a woman who has spent a year in a cave to study her fighting style and now is searching for the other, well, zodiac fighters like Rooster, Rat, Ox, Snake, Horse, Ram, Monkey, Dog, Pig, Tiger and Rabbit. Everyone has a costume that ties into their sign and martial arts to match.

Their enemy? Tiger Shark, played by Lo Lieh, who has an army of crab men, a boat that launches rubber sharks and the Five Elements, Fire, Wood, Water, Air and Gold. You thought there were only four elements? You aren't ready for this.

This is the story of a professional mourner who finds a magic cave and unites all of the animal forms of combat to battle rubber sharks. I have no other way to explain it. It's one of the oddest movies I've seen - and just think about that and all that I have watched - and it's so blobby and grainy and a bad transfer and you know, I kind of want it that way.

Want me to convince you?

Morricone's theme from Exorcist II is in this.
