I agree with Matt below that this is one of the better soft core films. I'm glad to see that Amber Newman is appearing more frequently on these late night epics. She is one hot number and some of the scenes do approach hardcore porn levels (especially the lesbian action).

Cinemax is a great T&A channel but you have to keep your eye out for the other pay channels such as Showtime and HBO.

Oh, where to begin? Sex scenes: This film is loaded with them, and, if that's all you like in a film, "Sin in the City" is your cup of tea. I, however, like a little substance, and this film is woeful in that regard. The acting is crap--and that's being diplomatic. The main character (Jarod Carey) is laughably awful; I was cracking up at his "confrontation" with the mobster at the end of the film. The only thing worse than the acting was the plot. The jumpiness of it was comical; for instance, Tim LeRoy (Carey) was being blackmailed by an anonymous individual, who, he later learns, is the cop with whom he'd fornicated in a jail cell. That takes up (the sex and the blackmail) a good portion of the film, and it's tied to nothing in the rest of the movie. Just one example of many as to why this is about as bad as it gets.

Tim Leroy (actor Jared Carey) is a successful estate agent and a playboy. at the first scene of the film he flirts with his assistant Brenda ( actress Shyra DeLand) and had sex at his office on his desk. it was all planned by her to sue him for harassment. this way Tim meets detective Valerie Morgan (actress Michelle Hall) who investigates the case. at night Leroy has sex at his apartment with Janice (played by beautiful Kim Dawson) who had heard about the case on the news and wanted to give him moral support. later on the week things are not going so well at court for Brenda and that night she goes to Leroy's apartment to ask him to forgive her. Janice and Tim's layer Erick Muller (actor Hal Hutton) were there too and Tim asks them to hide at his bedroom, Tim and Brenda have sex on the couch, Janice and Erick get aroused and have sex in the bedroom. Branda losses the trial and asks Tim if he has forgave her, he said he was not sure. later he receives a call at work from detective Valerie Morgan they meet and she seduces him easily, she takes him to a soon to be open prison where they have sex in one of the cells. a few days later Tim receives an envelope with pictures of him and Valerie having sex and a note asking for 50,000 dollars. he calls her and she says she received one envelope as well. they meet and agree he'll pay, and she'll deliver the money. as Valerie is leaving Tim asks his coworker Jay (actor Jason Schnuit) to follow her. later jay reports to him that the detective took the money home, but not before stepping by the airport to book a ticket to Bahamas. Tim calls internal affairs and then goes to Valerie's house tells her he knows everything and wants his money back, she admits she was after the blackmail and asks if he'll present charges and he says: what have you got to negotiate? of course she had her beautiful body so they had sex but he told her afterward he'd still present charges. here we have a new story inside the same movie: Tim meets a client that is a call girl, Sandy (actress Amber Newman) and ends up calling her and having sex he had to paid for. they develop a relationship. there's an unrelated scene where Jay has sex with Sandy and Anne (actress Gina Lascano or Gina Ryder) another prostitute. turns out sandy works for a mobster and one of the net got arrested so Sandy might be in danger too is the arrested man talks. Tim pays her pimp Luigi Fratelli (actor Danny Pape) to release her 100 million dollars. and offers the guy an investment opportunity as well. here there's a sex scene between Luigi and Anne at the pool. Tim tells Sandy what he's done for her and they have sex in the balcony while Anne and Susan (actress Zoe Paul) another prostitute did the same inside the apartment. Tim gets fired for trying to bring a mobster to the deal, but he and Luigi do the business on their own. and Tim and Sandy have one final sex scene before they both go to France. the end

there are some really good looking women in here and the plot/s and acting are not bad either.

there are in total 12 sex scenes, 6 in the first part of the movie, and 6 in the second one. one female-male-female, 1 female-female, 10 female male.

do notice that in most Scandal movies actresses get 2 scenes per movie, however there are exceptions as we see here.

It was nice to see some eye-candy for us girls for a change. Usually the guys in these movies look like buffed up nerds, or the hairy guys you used to avoid making eye contact with in the high school cafeteria. I know the guys will disagree, but Jarod Carey is actually the main character and carries almost all the action. (Thankfully). Never fear, there are plenty of babes for the guys.

In a risky move, we see him as an anti-hero. This is not only refreshing, but to my somewhat limited memory, it's the first time I've seen this in this genre.

The plot is a little choppy; like they started out with one story, then changed to another and added some new scenes. However, it moves quickly and keeps you interested. There is an unreasonable amount of sex, but this is, after all, what these movies are all about and watching Jarod Carey is a pleasure. He is a bit stiff (no pun intended) most of the time, but every now a then you see actual acting talent. When it's "working for him", he has a comfortable & casual manner and completely carries the scene. I suspect these are the scenes they started with, and the ones where he appears to be just trying to get through the scene, are the ones they added later. Still, it's not so painful that he looses you, and I find myself looking for other films he has appeared in. Beware; this is one of his most recent and after seeing some of the others I can tell you he is a self-taught actor and has improved greatly with experience.

All things considered, If you're looking for one of these types of movies, this is the only one I would suggest above any of the others, therefore I have to give it an "A" overall.

"Sin In The City" is the first movie I've seen where Amber Newman is the lead female, and she does a great job here.

Let's dwell briefly on the story. Amber plays a call girl who is trying to leave her "manager", a well-to-do "businessman" with connections to the mob. A guy enters the picture to take her out of this life, and of course they sleep together a couple of times.

There's so much sex in this movie that has NOTHING to do with the story, it's unreal. Is this supposed to be a regular porno, or a softcore/erotica/Cinemax-type movie? Eh, who cares. Along with Amber, there's plenty of other women you've probably seen before. (Just like hardcore porn, softcore porn has its own group of women who bounce from movie to movie)

There's a lot to like about "Sin In The City" in terms of women and sex, but the story is lacking quite a bit. Amber's performance, however, is quite remarkable when you figure in the horrible script.
