The Butter Cream Gang strikes again
helpless_dancer19 February 2001
The gang of helpful, friendly kids take on a new mission. This time they are after a casch of lost gold which they need to save the home and property of a neighbor, Mr. Gaff. Unfortunately, an evil Spaniard and his henchmen also have their eye on the treasure and will stop at little to get it. Each group has a third of an ancient map detailing the location of the loot, and much effort is expended in finding the missing segment. Of course, the missing piece is found and the kids must deal with the greedy, fortune obsessed Spaniard. This is a good childrens' film: I thought it carried a good message and had a satisfying ending.

Even Creamier Than The Original
crowes-1886519 February 2020
Like a good second entry into a candy bar brand family this sequel is even creamier than the first one. The key element which makes this movie better than Goonies, Explorers and Stand By Me all put together is buttercreaming. Imagine the buttercream gang finding a body in the woods. They would not have handled it the same way at all... they would have buttercreamed it, meaning they'd have done the right thing. Granted this would have made for a really short movie but one drenched in buttercream goodness and wholesomeness. I'd really like to see a third movie - maybe a Buttercreamers In Space where the creamers meet an alien race which is at odds with another alien and the gang has to rise to the occasion and teach them how to buttercream and gel rather than fight. I don't know but in these times of hostility and stupidity I say the more buttercreaming going on the better. I wonder if the now grown actors might be willing to consider a prison tour where they travel around to correctional facilities all over the country and teach some of the hardened inmates the ways of buttercreaming. Just a thought but I'd like to see the buttercreamers get to touch others the way they have touched me and some people I know. BUTTERCREAMER FOREVER!

Not just for Kids

I though this movie was great! Lots of moral character and just as good as the first movie! Amazing actors and a wonderful story-line! I'm now 18 years old and I still love it! It's great for any age and a lot better than most movies out today! I wish they would make a 3rd movie!! Love the Bible-based/God-like atmosphere to the movie! But yet everyone still has fun and it's goofy! :)
