What are your go-to films when you need a lift? Or your special movies for a time of need?
Welcome to Geeks Vs Loneliness, our weekly slot where we just try and natter about things that may or may not be affecting some of you. Try as we might, we can’t solve the world’s problems, but we do try and offer a hint or two that might help someone, somewhere.
That said, we're doing something a little different (again!) this week.
A while back in this series, we asked you to recommend the books that are special to you, that you go back to time and time again, and help you in times when you could use a lift of some sort. You came up with some wonderful choices, and if you head to the comments here - http://www.denofgeek.com/other/geeks-vs-loneliness/39922/geeks-vs-loneliness-recommend-a-book...

Cinderella is set to make her Broadway debut this winter — but it won’t be the Walt Disney version with which the majority of fans are familiar. Instead, the Rodgers & Hammerstein telling of the classic fairy tale will premiere at NYC’s Broadway Theatre for preview performances starting Jan. 21, 2013, and an opening night set for Feb. 21, 2013, EW has confirmed.
The show comes with a new book based on the original by Hammerstein, written by Douglas Carter Beane (The Little Dog Laughed). And apparently in this updated version there’s a twist — Cinderella gets to save the Prince in the end...

Following the news that ABC will not be ordering additional episode of freshman drama Eastwick, costar Lindsay Price (pictured) has been named a suspected show killer. Though undeniably adorable, the actress has a long rap sheet of failed TV shows that also includes NBC's Lipstick Jungle, Pepper Dennis, and Coupling. Which other actors are on TV's Most Wanted (and Least Lucky) List? Our top offenders: • Jason Gedrick: Truly impressive versatility in terms of the number of networks he's failed on. Victims include: Fox's Class of '96; CBS' Sweet Justice, Ez Streets, and Falcone; ABC's Murder One and The Beast; and NBC's Boomtown and Windfall.
