Brilliant film from Sachin: an unusual story with a middle-aged woman as the protagonist
sumitj200528 April 2006
This is the story of Mrs.Arti Mangalkar (played by Neelakanti patekar). She stays with her family in one of the prime locations in Mumbai. Her husband, two sons, daughter-in-law & a daughter take her for granted. Her life has become miserable & she has no standing in her own house. (incidently she is the owner of the house). Things take a turn for the better when she meets an old friend (Daya Dongre). The friend conducts an experiment in which their souls (or rather personalities) get swapped. The protagonist becomes bold & oozes with confidence. She changes the way the house looks at her & starts setting things straight.

There are other sub-plots involving Ashok Saraf (daughter's lover: brilliant as usual) & one involving an orphan Sachin & Varsha Usgaonkar.

The climax is brilliant.
